Absolutely loved this hotel. Very clean, beautifully renovated and decorated with lots of care and attention to detail. The room was comfortable, the bathroom modern. They even packed breakfast for us as we had an early flight to catch.

A bit noisy as it is in the heart of Thamel, thankfully our room was on the third floor and we could sleep OK without earplugs. Traditional building, so no lift.

"Excellent value, central hotel with a personl feel"

We returned to the Swarga after staying at other bigger hotels and immediately enjoyed the more personal feel of a smaller hotel. The interior with genuine Nepalese artefacts and the delightful courtyard for breakfast make for a charming and relaxing ambiance. The excitement of old Kathmandu is just around the corner, yet the hotel itself is an oasis of calm and quiet. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We would certainly return here.

Beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. The staff were amazing, so helpful, especially Rahul, who sent lots of helpful information via what’s app. Beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! Loved the heritage breakfast in particular. Also the fact that you can have breakfast anytime up until after midday. Close to all the Thamel action but quiet as well - an oasis in a hectic city. A wonderful place!

Nothing at all! Maybe a suggestion more than something I didn’t like - any way to get rid of the plastic bottles for water?

Lovely decor, within walking distance to everything yet quiet and tranquil. The owner was helpful with plenty of top tips. The photos don’t do the place justice!

"Loved every moment"

The property is well loved and looked after. All the furniture used has been locally sourced making it a unique oasis is the bustle of Thamel!

I can’t fault anything with this property at all
