Stunning location and the pool is perfect with lots of shade under the palm trees. It really does feel like a tropical island paradise. The restaurant is good but a little slow.

My only criticism is that it was a real shame that bottled water and tea and coffee making items weren't available in the rooms. This is pretty standard for a hotel of this nature so was a pain needing to leave the room in the mornings.

La struttura era pulita, super nuova. Abbiamo inoltre fatto richiesta di avere la stanza vista mare al piano di sopra e ci hanno accontentati era davvero bellissima. Non apprezzo svegliarsi con il mare davanti. Il cibo anche molto buono l’unica cosa personale un po’ lento in cucina.

Werkelijk waar alles aan deze hotel is fantastisch. Normaal gesproken ben ik echt een zeurpiet, maar ik had hier niks over te klagen. De kamers waren SUPER schoon. Personeel was zeeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt lunch en avondeten waren verrukkelijk. Vincent in het bijzonder, de supervisor geloof ik, was echt een topper.

Enige minpuntje is dat je wat verder bent van bijvoorbeeld een drukke winkelstraatje.

Nous avons fait plusieurs hôtels à Zanzibar, et c’est la première fois que nous avons été aussi mal accueillis. À notre arrivée, aucun mot de bienvenue, aucun petit geste d’accueil comme on a pu en recevoir ailleurs (cocktail, mot personnalisé, etc.). On nous a directement lu une longue liste de frais à payer en cas de perte ou de dégradation, avec des montants très élevés (80 dollars si vous perdez la clé, par exemple), ce qui donne d’entrée une ambiance très froide et méfiante. Autre point surprenant : il est interdit de ramener de l’eau depuis l’extérieur. Pour la nourriture, on peut comprendre, mais pour l’eau, c’est franchement exagéré. Si vous souhaitez emprunter une serviette pour la plage ou la piscine, on vous demande aussi une caution de 10 dollars par serviette. Le petit déjeuner est correct, mais très basique et répétitif. Ce n’est pas catastrophique, mais au vu du prix payé, on s’attendait à une prestation plus soignée, surtout côté accueil et service. Concernant la Wi-Fi, elle ne fonctionnait pas sur nos deux téléphones. On ne sait pas si elle marchait pour d’autres, mais pour nous, impossible de se connecter. L’hôtel dispose pourtant de plusieurs réseaux, et quand nous avons demandé s’il était possible d’en essayer un autre, la réceptionniste nous a simplement répondu que non. Finalement, le lendemain, c’est exactement ce réseau qu’on nous a donné, et qui a fonctionné. En attendant, nous avons donc passé une journée et une nuit sans connexion, ce qui est très problématique à l’étranger. Bref, un séjour décevant, principalement à cause du manque de considération des clients et du service très peu chaleureux.

- Good location, convenient shop walking distance (not easily found in the island) - Fantastic room with stunning sea view - the most valuable hotel asset - Hotel on the ground manager (Irina), she made our stay better. Thank you!

- Wi fi: no wi fi during our whole stay, gracefully after talking to Irina she supported us with access to a separate network that actually did work plus she helped us getting a better food experience (as best as she could given top down management indications - refer to below food section). - Guest Service: even though part of the staff is kind, nothing here is oriented to make the guest feel better nor positively welcome and truly improve guests stay. - Reception: the person at reception should be friendly and willing to support guests with a positive attitude, well unfortunately I must say he has barely helped, always with a grumpy face and even knocked on our door a few mins before check out time. Frankly, never seen that before - unacceptable. - Food: i) Breakfast is not the buffet type but even so, portions are too small compared to average hotel standards. Not to mention quality is something that requires improvement. ii) Dinner: incredibly slow to serve very simple dishes, not to mention there was no fresh food for 2 nights in a row.

SnS Hotel is hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at so far — a true gem in Zanzibar! 💙 From the moment we checked in, it was pure bliss. The 180-degree ocean view from our room was breathtaking. The walls are basically glass windows, so whether you’re waking up, stepping out of the shower, or just chilling in bed — the ocean is always in sight. It honestly felt like the sea was part of the room. I couldn’t get enough! The Wi-Fi was okay — a bit slow at times — but honestly, with those views, I didn’t even care. I spent my time reading and soaking in the peaceful vibes. 📖🌊 Breakfast was simple, with just one option daily, but it was always filling. On the second day, to cover for my egg allergies they went the extra mile and prepared a special meal just for me, which I really appreciated. That personal touch was everything. The rooms were spotless, the pool always clean, and the beach beautifully maintained. Huge shout-out to the amazing staff — Janet the housekeeper and also Janet the Manager,Vincent, and Saidi — who treated us like royalty. Their warmth and service truly made the experience special. I also tried a cocktail by the pool, and it was perfect for the island vibe. 💖 What completely stole my heart: they made my birthday unforgettable — decorated the room, wished me in person, and even surprised me with a gift as I checked out. I was honestly so touched! 🚫 Minor cons: • No iron box available, and getting clothes ironed was a bit pricey. • No hair dryer in the room — would’ve been helpful for post-swim hair care. But those are just small suggestions for an otherwise incredible experience. I’m giving SnS Hotel a glowing 9.5/10 — and I’ll absolutely be back. It’s serene, scenic, and full of soul. One of the best hotels in Zanzibar, no doubt!
