Meltzers Apartments

Location was good, walking distance to train station, groceries and restaurants. The property was clean, well maintained, neatly organized. Quiet location. Clear instructions in the property on dos, don'ts and what to do upon arrival and departure

There were two observations. 1. The serious one, the LACK of a picture on the booking listing of the three winding narrow staircases to reach this apartment. If we had seen that pic, we would NOT have booked the apt. Didn't realize the stairs were so steep until we got there. I have vertigo episodes & am acrophobic. One of our family was recovering from a hip surgery, where it was difficult to balance, especially the top two stairs where the railing stops. PLEASE! Update your booking.com pictures and property description. It is no fun when you have to will yourself to navigate those stairs. We had a check in suitcase each too. It was so incredibly cumbersome to get the suitcases up the stairs. 2. The not so big deal but just a consideration for the hosts, upon arrival - they ask you to put the covers on the pillows, duvet& mattress - trying to squeeze the duvet into the covers, navigating around the sloped roofs to put the bedsheet over the mattress. Guests may have had a long journey, maybe ask if we want them pre-done in the booking form (I understand some people are picky about this, not universal).

Location perfect, apartment luxurious

Guide given had wrong controls for controlling temperature and my phone wouldn't let me message the owners directly for some reason,nor access booking.com - couldn't get in touch to ask , so not their problem

The apartment was very nicely furnished, had all we needed and was spotless. Everything was well organized, super clean linen and towels, had washer and dryer in the apartment and could store our bags before and after check-in. It was a short walk from the centre and Bryggen. Would certainly stay there again.

Central location, cleanliness, laundry availability

Had to make beds ourself, taking luggage for a family of 5 up several flights of stairs

The apartment was clean and had some additional comforts like salt and pepper along with a notebook with tips in it. Location was good - had to walk a bit to get to the central plaza and being uphill, we had to lug our bags on the slopes. The property owners were prompt in their response. I thought the apt was missing some dishwasher soap (turns out it was in the cutlery drawer) but they responded quickly and dropped off a whole bag of soap on the same day.

Apt had 2 levels, main level and a lower level. One bedroom was located on the main level and 2 on the lower level. We could not let our two young kids sleep all alone on the lower level and so had to divide us between sleeping with the kids on the lower level.

The location. Space suited our needs and beds very comfortable

Could use towel racks. No microwave.

Really modern and clean, nicely decorated and great location

One bedroom lacked blackout blinds, small issue with bedding and owners not very responsive when contacted. Despite this I would recommend due to quality accommodation, location and price.
