The photographs for the property on Booking.com are very misleading and the property is meaningfully more dated than the photographs indicate. Secondly, the property is not as well located and quite a bit walk from the closest point of public transportation. Almost 8 to 10 minute walk to the closest bus and also quite far off from the main sites. For the price at which this properties is listed, I’m sure one can find locations which are more central and closer to public transportation points. Lastly to get to the apartments one may need to climb one or more flight of stairs. These stairs are very steep and this proved for us to be quite a bit of inconvenience, and also a safety hazard, when travelling with little kids and a fair amount of luggage. This should have been highlighted in the listing very clearly.

It started out fine, but our experience quickly deteriorated as we settled in. We noticed stains on one of the pillow cases, and Kristin was quick and responsive in the beginning. We were told a new one would be provided to us the next morning, but it never did, and when we tried to follow up, we never heard back again. Furthermore, there was loud screaming and/or partying PAST MIDNIGHT EVERY NIGHT (we were there for 3 nights), and it was very difficult to fall asleep under these conditions. We understand some of this might be out of their control, but we didn’t even get a response when we shared this with Kristin. The icing on the cake is the rules, THERE ARE SO MANY RULES. The one that surprised us the most was that we had to put the bedsheets on ourselves at check-in AND take them off at check-out. We always keep the place we stay at clean anyway, but being asked as guests to do bedsheets was definitely not something we ever experienced before.

The apartment is located at a slope while the outside of the road is not really clean and some rubbish were spread over on the road that perhaps the risbiish bin was full Meanwhile, it should be specified clearly that there’re no lift available so to let the customer consider whether we should book the apartment at top floor (3rd floor). It was challenging to bring four big luggage up the stairs!! I have never had experience when I booked at hotel.com that there are rules from the hotel that the customer has to take out all bed sheets, pillow covers, etc, to put on the floor. I wonder if this is a kind of local practice in Norway, compared to when I stayed at an apartment through Hotels.com, which was reserved in Iceland. Anyhow, I like the location of the apartment, which is very safe and convenient to all the common attractions, which is very good.

Centrally located so we could easily walk everywhere we wanted to get to in Bergen. While the apartment wasn’t as spacious as some of the others we had on our Norway trip, it was definitely comfortable given how compact the houses need to be in the middle of a city vs out in the country.

Some of the rooms could have benefitted from more storage options (like shelves in the closet or in one of the nooks in the upstairs bedroom).

Location and high standard of apartment

When leaving the front electronic door lock malfunctioned and we couldn`t exit the apartment which is a fire safety risk. Also, we had to rush to catch our transport to the airport which caused stress, also a delayed response from the hosts. We had to leave via the fire exit in the basement which was not ideal.

Apartment was clean. Beds comfortable. Everything was within walking distance or easy access via Metro. Open windows and breeze cooled things down at night. Quiet neighborhood. Washer and dryer were geeat. Staff was super helpful. My daughter's luggage was lost. They gave us access to luggage storage so delivery person could put it in there while we were sight seeing.

Our apartment was on the second floor. There are narrow winding steps and no elevator. We had no issues. It could be difficult if you struggle with balance or are unable to lift your suitcase.

Very convenient location for accessing the centre of Bergen. The apartment was on the small side but was very clean and modern. The beds were comfortable. The lounge area was also comfortable and we had two pleasant evenings watching TV and relaxing.

We found the cooking equipment in the kitchen very limited. Only there for two nights so we managed but could be better.

Location is excellent. Apartment is very nicely appointed. Beds comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good. Hosts were very responsive to needs and questions.

A few more small amenities (shampoo/soap) would go a long way and we would recommend some more detailed instruction for stove and washer/dryer for foreign travelers.
