Sago Palm Hotel, Ocho Rios, Jamaica Our stay at the Sago Palm Hotel started off with a tropical Jamaican Rum Punch from the hotel’s bar. We stayed in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, for a week, and out of all the places we visited, that was the absolute best rum punch. The Sago Palm is definitely an upscale boutique hotel, reminding you that you are far, far away... on vacation! Boutique hotels always bring a unique and memorable experience to your trip. The service was impeccable! We felt like family while we were there. Rhianna, Yolanda, and all the staff were extremely attentive. Typical of resorts, the hotel has a gated entrance that was manned by Ms. Payne (Pain). We chuckled when she told us her name. We did not expect the luxurious monogrammed towels, robes, slippers, and other amenities. The linen was soft and cozy. We chose a room with a private balcony, facing the pool. Our room faced the mountains. It was awe-inspiring and a nice place to have a cocktail at the end of the day. When we have longer stays or extend our trip, we often book two different hotels that are nearby. It keeps the vacation fresh and exciting! We stayed at the Sago Palm for the beginning of our vacation, and it was wonderful, relaxing, and a great de-tox from our lives back home. Also, many of the excursions in Ocho Rios are just a short ride away. We highly recommend it for your vacation in paradise, TIP: After registering at the front desk, head straight to the bar for your complimentary Jamaican Rum Punch!

Modern space, friendly efficient staff/management, comfortable and clean rooms, satisfying dining experience, and a convenient location. Highly recommended.

This property is in generally good condition. The rooms are all well kept, with reliable AC. The customer service is very good with professional staff.

Helpful friendly staff, cool ac, shower was too hot possible user error. Got a nice workout with free weights in gym.

The hotel is located in the heart of OR- close to Bay beach& restaurants. The area is rundown but safe ( was told so). The hotel is new so updated & clean . Rooms are good except that there is not a single window ( I was told it is so to keep away the sights, sounds & smells of the busy town - which makes sense) Small rooftop pool - bare - no foliage/ jacuzzi or hot tub) The staff in the restaurant was pleasant but seemed to be ‘non generous’ with food- feels weird coming from the US but it is a poor country so understandable. I accept the quirks of travel So, overall good 👍

The “included breakfast” did not have anything available when I asked for it. I was told coffee was yet to me made. Whipped cream was not available.. What really did I pay for?
