Sago Palm Hotel

This is a small hotel on a main street in Ocho Rios. The hotel is very clean. The rooms seem recently updated and the bathroom is nice. The air conditioning works almost too well and the hot water is hot which is a good thing. The Jamaican breakfast was good and we had dinner there one night and it was good. We enjoyed our stay!

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at this beautiful boutique hotel in Jamaica, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcomed every single person I interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Their hospitality truly made the experience feel like a home away from home. The food was another highlight of my stay every meal was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Knowing that the hotel partners with local farmers to source fresh, sustainable produce only made each bite more meaningful. It’s a wonderful feeling to support a place that supports its community in such a thoughtful way. As a Black/Jamaican owned hotel, this place also carries a deep sense of pride and authenticity that you can feel in everything from the decor to the service. I’m so glad I chose to stay here and will absolutely be returning on my next visit to Jamaica. Highly recommend!

Everyone at Sago Palm Hotel when above and beyond to make sure my husband and i had a wonderful stay, great location.

Everything was good until the waiter decided to overcharge me at the restaurant. He decided to add an extra 25% on top of my bill for I don't know what because Im paying a service charge for eating at the restaurant according to my receipt. He could not explain what this 25% extra is for as it was not included on my receipt. Even after going back and forth the issue was still not solved. This is clearly a way of cheating guests to get the extra money.

We don’t usually write reviews, but Sago Palm Hotel really does deserve the praise. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive—nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel has a calm, relaxing vibe, and the rooms were clean and felt fresh. If you’re looking for great service, comfort, and a good atmosphere in Ocho Rios, this place is a hidden gem Just a couple of small suggestions to make the experience even better: adding air conditioning in the corridors would help with the heat, and since the hotel has undergone a renovation completing the remaining minor finishing touches would really elevate the look. Also, while we appreciated the freshly made breakfasts cooked to order a shorter wait time in the mornings would definitely add to the experience. The rooms are very spacious and renovated.

The hotel has excellent customer service. The rooms were in good condition. Also the breakfast from the restaurant was very good.
