My stay at Sago Palm was awesome.The staff were amazing and accommodating especially since my stay was a last minute thing.The pool is awesome and feels good I definetly recommend anyone heading to Ochi to stay here.Another great thing is the hotel is located right in the town near everything

I had a fantastic experience at Sago Palm! The staff was welcoming, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the service was outstanding. I especially loved the pool the view from above was amazing, not to mention the breakfast. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

The place has great potential. You can tell from the way they have furbished the place But the manager is the absolutely worst I have come across in my entire life hence the breakdown in almost every area I am a 72 year old disabled woman but I remain independent I worked as a flight attendant with Air Jamaica for over seven years,then transferred to customer service at Palisades airport Two years after I opened The Wanderer an art, craft and jewelry shop specializing I items from Third world countries so I have travelled extensively. But the manager Miss Bradshaw is the worst nightmare I have ever encountered in any hospitality environment. Three staff members stood out Hugh at the Fr desk who started off shaky through lack of proper training but the important thing was he really tried to improve so I saw great potential ‘Smiley” who dealt with room service he was a gem very pleasant and willing A very petite young lady who attended to guests in the breakfast room I think her name was Shani she was fantastic, extremely professional a credit to the hotel The unbelievable happened this morning when it was time for me to check out. I I had a 10am meeting scheduled with one of the bank managers at NCB At approximately 8.15 I brought my bags from my room and asked Hugh to get my bill in order while I had breakfast. After eating I went with my credit card to pay US $48 that was outstanding. I had deposited an additional US$ 200 the night of my arrival in addition to the

We stayed at Sago Palm Hotel 4 nights in December 2024, in between Christmas and New Year when rates were extremely high, and unfortunately we could not wait to get out of there... The positives: the room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, most furniture and equipment was new. The hotel's restaurant serves delicious food (but expensive), and the hotel's staff was lovely and welcoming. Now, the negatives: the music coming from the nearby bars/clubs was extremely loud at night, so loud that it almost felt like the party was happening right down the hall! It was starting every day in the early afternoon, and getting progressively louder in the evening, until 2-3AM! I normally can sleep with a bit a noise, but this was really too loud to sleep. We told the hotel staff, but they couldn't do anything. We asked for ear plugs, but they were not able to provide any... A few other inconveniences included very slow service during breakfast in the morning (up to 90mn wait for our food during peak time), and staff unable to help us book excursions. Another thing to note, is that the area around the hotel was a bit sketchy. As 2 adult women, we felt a little unsafe going out for dinner. All in all, Sago Palm could be a great little gem, but unfortunately the noise at night is unforgiving. That is the main reason we had an awful stay, and would not recommend anyone staying here.

Breakfast was good...also the server was very pleasant. The location of the property is very good...close to everything.

A clean and affordable choice for visiting Jamaica. I always fly into Kingston, so Ochos Rios is much close than Montego Bay resorts. Food is amazing (a little pricey for dinner, but worth it) but I chose the breakfast included option and every day was delicious. Rooms super clean, bed comfy, and amenities were great. Definitely coming back! I came with my boyfriend, who is from Jamaica - I felt safe walking with him along Main Street to grab food/take a walk. Room was cool and air conditioned the entire stay.
