Hotel Riu Palace Aquarelle - All Inclusive

Place is nice and staff are very friendly, food is good. Worth it.

Big property with tons to do for adults and kids. The restaurants were pretty good; however, you have to make your reservation at midnight for the following day because the reservations fill up fast. The staff is extremely friendly and always had activities for us to do. The shows were amazing too.

This is NOT a 5 star hotel for many reasons. There were cockroaches in my room. I know it’s Jamaica, but I travel to Jamaica at least twice a year every year and I’ve never seen cockroaches in my room at a resort or at any Airbnb I’ve stayed in. My shower didn’t drain. My sister had a tone of maintenance issues in her room including the lock for the patio door was missing. The food is meh. Not much available after the buffet closes and what’s available isn’t that great. Many buffet staff members were just straight up rude or apathetic and not very friendly or engaging. The entertainment team was amazing though and put on excellent shows and the women working at Capuchino were very lovely. The property itself is just ok, definitely not giving palace vibes as the name suggests. No night club so once entertainment is done there’s not much going on. It it’s extremely windy in that part of Trelawny so the sea is always really choppy. It’s also kind of remote, nothing much in the surrounding area and Mobay is 30-40 minutes away. I was there for a wedding so I didn’t choose this property but now that I’ve stayed I know it’s not something I would book again.

Ramon who works in the White Bay Restaurant at night was so sweet & nice with excellent customer service.

Very clean room, great service and respectful staff. Good food quality and variety.

Awesome place to stay

The property was beautiful and well maintained. The minuses for the resort were that there was no ATM, the coffee stand on the property did not open until 10:00 a.m., and some of the information on their app (which was used for booking everything) was inaccurate, resulting in confusion over things like whether we had successfully booked a snorkeling trip or not. The staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. The dining options were good. There was definitely a party atmosphere; I don’t think I would bring kids here, in spite of the water slides and games. The resort is outside the town of Falmouth, and area around the resort was not one I’d like to explore.
