Staðarflöt Apartments

The room itself was clean and warm. Basic things were working. The bed linnen were uncomfortable, but clean. However, there was nobody else visiting and the cleaning lady was somehow able to help us to get to the right building. Fortunately, we had received the code to open the keybox. However, there was no way of getting contact to the actual owner of the house by phone in order to fix the broken TV. No service what so ever. If you like solitude in middle of nowhere and don't need any service - this is a place for you!

Brand new property close to the main road. We booked the hotel last minute due to the storm outside, the code has been sent to us before arrival. The room was very cosy and warm, there was a well equipped kitchenette, big shower , coffee machine. Internet worked well despite the heavy winds outside.

Nice apartment in Iceland, modern comfort with breathtaking nature views. kitchenette and amenities make it a perfect retreat. Highly recommended!

The hotel was very nice. Everything was brand new and very well-equipped. We followed directions from the map of booking.com and therefore had no problems finding the location. The staff on site was super helpful. The beds were very comfortable, wifi was very decent. There was a quiet nice restaurant in N1 gas station right below the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. Great value for money! The code was sent before arrival, we also called to check about road conditions and the person that answered the phone was very helpful.

Rooms were clean and equipped with everything you need. Quite a good standard if you consider the remote location.

The location is really somewehere in the middle of nowhere. Next to North Star Hotel, Stadarflöt Apartments doesn't show up as Aparments but as "Stadarflöt Hotel" if you enter it into Google Maps. If you search for Stadarflöt Apartments, it will guide you to Hvammstangi town center, which is 30 km away from the place. Lots of confusion and quite a few phone calls to have the misunderstanding resolved. Even if the rooms itself are okay you have to be aware that the whole place seems like a ghost hotel, we were more or less the only guests around. There are no dining options, you have to drive around half an hour to get food or drinks. Generally speaking, it was a strange place, but in the end we had a good night's rest on our way back to Reykjavik.
