"Overall had a good stay."

9.0

Perfect location near the A1M. Home from home. Well equipped property. We arrived to Sunshine and able to enjoy a drink outside on the patio, which was a little sun trap. Very convenient for Chester-Le-street centre and had a beautiful meal at the Black Rabbit restaurant.

Bathroom very small for 6 adults. No lock on the bathroom door, which was tricky with 6 adults. Towels do need to be bigger. Unfortunately we were woken every morning at 4:30am by a nearby cockerel, it was in a housing estate so a little strange and difficult to get back to sleep.

"Nice clean property in a good location"

7.0

The house was lovely, very clean, and quite spacious downstairs. The upstairs had 3 bedrooms although the smallest room was compact. It was very clean and some supplies were included such as shampoo and conditioner in the (small) bathroom. There is parking on the drive for two cars although it is quite tight getting out if parked up to the garage. Plenty of pots, crockery etc. There were some condiments in the fridge, margarine etc and ice in the freezer. Had messages during the stay asking if we have settled in etc and then reminding us what time to check out and the rules to follow. WiFi is included. The property is close to Durham and also Beamish which we visited. We were also close to Lumley Castle where we did an escape room. We were only about 8 miles from the Angel of the North. Very good location.

The towels provided were too small. They were bigger than hand but seemed smaller than a standard bath towel. No hand towel provided for the bathroom. No lock on the bathroom door which isn't good when 6 adults in the property. The shower cubicle is also very small. Locks on bedroom doors which we didn't understand why they were needed? There was a fob to unlock them but at 2.30am when I got locked out of my bedroom and couldn't work the fob was frustrating. I had to wake my husband to unlock the door. Only one curtain for the French doors in the dining room .. not sure why? There was no welcome pack which is unusual. In all our past places we have received milk, bread etc as a small token.

"A comfortable short stay to facilitate a trip to Beamish Museum."

8.0

Generally very comfortable and well equipped house. We had a couple of issues which were resolved immediately when we contacted Stu, the host.

Blinds and curtains were problematic to close. We had an issue with the heating control although we managed to sort it out ourselves.

"Great house in a great location."

10.0

Excellent facilities throughout the house, plenty of parking and within walking distance of Durham CCC.

Only a slight complaint but needs a lock on the bathroom door.

"Perfect"

8.0

Property is very clean and has everything you need even a cupboard with games which really helped having small children, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

There isn’t anything negative to say other than there being no lock on the bathroom door but that only bothered our teenager.

"Great base from which to go to the cricket and/or visit Durham or explore the NE"

9.0

Very comfortable; spacious living area; good shower; all you could need facitities-wise and spotlessly clean - plus very friendly and helpful host! Excellent value for money.

The 3rd bedroom is a tad "cosy", but this is clear from the details.

"Lovely house in a quiet location"

8.0

Really enjoyed our stay a lovely house with comfy big beds, shower was on the small side but nice and strong. Great location very quiet and perfect for short taxi rides into Newcastle, Durham and Beamish.

The kitchen was always freezing cold luckily we didn’t really use it much, just kept the door shut. Luckily the upstairs was always nice and warm.
