Desolation Hotel

First of all, we’d like to thank the staff @ Desolation hotel for making my belated birthday a delightful celebration! The balloons and the beautiful roses were just perfect! Room we stayed in had 3 floors: (garage; 1st floor with mini-kitchen, living room, 1/2 guest bath, and laundry; 2nd floor has the main bedroom and full bath, balcony with deep-soaking tub, outdoor heater and fireplace). Bedroom and bathroom have automatic skylights, which is so cool to gaze at. Bedroom closet includes 2 bathrobes and matching slippers. Hardwood floors throughout and safety gates by the stairs for kids and/or pets. Kitchen has everything you need - fridge with freezer, cute stove, full sized sink, dishwasher, dish ware, pots and pans, seasonings. 2 TVs (1 in living room and main bedroom with lots of channels!). Full bathroom includes a Dyson hairdryer and deep-soaking jacuzzi. Pet-friendly. Our Shih Tzu and Bichon loved it! Front desk staff and housekeepers were all excellent! Thanks again! Our only complaint was the dryer being too loud when in use. It sounded like the drum was unbalanced and in need of service. Also, my daughter had a difficult time sleeping in the sofa bed because it was hard like a rock. Even piling up on blankets to sleep on didn’t really help. Regardless, we loved our accommodations and we look forward to coming back soon.

Love the townhome-style building with a personal garage. Made it very easy to bring our personal belongings in. The entire stay felt like we were in the comfort of our own home.

One size fits all for the bike. No coffee in the room. The location is not directly on the lake.

Perfect location. Everything you would want to do in the area is walking distance. Ability to rent bikes. The bed is very comfortable. Outdoor bathtub. Complimentary reusable water bottles and champagne.

Pretty loud if you are below the restaurant. Outdoor tub privacy screen was broken.
