Perfect location for northern lakes and walking. Clean, warm and lovely to light the fire. Comfortable beds and good facilities. Views of Skiddaw and walks out to Whinlatter forest.

good location, easy to find and park, quiet and peaceful

. Area is stunning lots of forest walks. .friendly environment.

.NO WIFI PASSWORD DOES NOT WORK! .States pet friendly but had complaint about dog hair? .Food left in freezer from previous occupants. .Gap at bottom of shower door causing a leak into the kitchen under the bathroom door. . NO HOOVER IN PROPERTY negative if you have pets! . Flickering lights in living room and landing. . Lock on front door is loose. . No external locks on bedrooms. Unclear what to do with bedding and towels upon leaving as no instruction, had complaint we had washed the sheets? No bins for dog poo local to the area. Big problem with people leaving dog poo on pavement and around the driveways or bags on fence posts. .Only enough parking for one car. . Had 2 blackouts lasting over 2 hours during the stay., had to purchase blackout candles. . No coffee machine only kettle as add states.

Very clean, cosy, fabulous views,quiet,quite well equipped.

Location bit isolated, needed to drive. Downstairs bathroom,not good, needs to be mentioned on the booking page, we wouldn’t have booked this property if we had know.

What a beautiful, peaceful, comfy cottage No. 4 Pine Vale is! Added bonus of fabulous views surrounding it, and a little stream behind with walks on the doorstep. The lovely Thorntwaite Gallery literally 500yds with coffee/tea, and array of home-baked cakes and scones! We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely recommend this beautiful place to stay 😍 x A 5* find for us x
