Talcomb Cottage in Thornthwaite Keswick

We had a lovely stay, the place is easy to locate. Have a great view overlooking the Cumbrian fells. Best place to relax and unwind after a long hike.

The stairs is a bit steep going down , other than that its a wonderful place to stay. I won’t hesitate to book this beautiful cottage again if were going to the Lake district.

Beautiful location. Amazing views and the village was perfect. The cottage was well equipped.

Communication between us and the host was hit and miss, we had to ring the managing company (Travel Nest) to get communication started as emails were not replied to and phones were not answered. The bed was not the most comfortable in the double room and the room was very small. It would have made more sense to have the main bedroom and the children’s bedroom swapped over for space and comfort.

Location was perfect, very close to the forest with some beautiful running routes.

The location was outstanding with lovely walks from the doorstep.

The lock in front door tricky & couldn’t get WiFi, despite trying alternative password.

Super and will definitely return. I used it was a base for the triathlon in keswick. Would love to return again but the price was a little 'high' I'd say £100 ish was adequate

Great location. Quiet. Great views. So-so comfort wise. Kitchen is very good.

The house hadn't been serviced before we turned up. The beds were unmade. We had to hang about for a cleaner, which spoiled our evening. Stairs are difficult to negotiate. Heating could be more flexible. Bathroom is ok but tiny. The better bedroom has two singles instead of a double. Parking OK for one car but not much space. Accessing the Internet was difficult.

WiFi not good, no tea/coffee provided, bathroom sink too small, duvets in single beds are small for an adult
