Breakfast was horrible! Below cheap diner quality. We stayed 3 nights and each day breakfast was dragged experience. We had breakfast included option on reservation otherwise we would be eating outside of the hotel. Staff consisted of young people, inexperienced. They were bored and did not pay attention to guests. Girl walking us up to the breakfast table was literally asleep … bored or angry that she needs to work. On the main staircase, cleaning lady was taking her lunch. Sitting there and eating while guests were walking up. Person at the front desk, as we arrived, was eating sandwich, licked her fingers and handed us room keys. This is not a 5 star service.

Food ok. Staff could not keep neighboring guests from screaming and jumping till 11:30 pm and 6:00 am

Super cute boutique hotel, walkable, and friendly staff.

Breakfast was good and bad. Service is slow, especially getting coffee. The servers have to run back and forth too much. They should just leave the salt and pepper on the tables. I ordered the eggs benedict and it was not good. The next day I tried the French toast and it was excellent. The weekend staff was difficult to communicate with. They misunderstood several of our orders. I don't know why it was so hard, but English was their second language, so I guess that was why. The staff was very nice, just slow and a little confused.

We had turn down service the first night. The next two nights they didn't turn down the bed. But we did get fresh towels and water.

If you are in Newport, it’s a must stay! The Gardiner House is fantastic! The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and just perfect! The bar downstairs feels as if you’re in your living room at home but better. The staff takes care of you and offers whatever you need with a smile. We loved our stay!

Beautiful Hotel!! The staff was so accommodating. Tyson was so friendly with good information about things to see and do. The Valet gentleman was great too! We would recommend any of our friends to stay here. Thanks for making our 30th Anniversary a beautiful memorable one!

I loved the look and feel of the property and the rooms. The staff at the restaurant were excellent and hospitable. The bar was also a nice place to sit down and read a book.

The staff at the reception the service they provided was just adequate.

Really pretty hotel in a central area

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay! Matt and Hannah went out of there way to ensure we had a special celebration for our 25th wedding anniversary. We will return for sure and would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a unique experience in Newport.
