Staff was fantastic, super clean, good hotel gym, great restaurants/bar options/coffee shop on site and walking distance to the rest of Old San Juan. Would definitely recommend!

Excelente ubicación

Nos toco el piso 6, grave error. No podiamos estar tranquilos durante el dia ya que arriba esta el rooftop y el restaurante y fue horrible, demasiado ruido. Se pasaban arrastrando mesas y sillas y eso se escuchaba dentro de la habitación. Teniamos que salir al parque o buscar que hacer porque estar ahi era horrible.

Very convenient to everything we were doing.

The property was beautiful and the cafe was great. The room was large and the bathroom was very nice. The beds were very comfortable.

The rooftop pool was very underwhelming and there was only room for about 5 people to lounge up there. Our AC stopped working for the last 2-3 nights. We also both woke up with bites on our feet the second to last night of our stay and there were bloody marks at the end of one of the beds that weren’t there when we checked in. We were very uncomfortable and worried so we requested a new room for our last night. The staff completely dismissed our concerns and never responded to either email I sent detailing the situation and including pictures.

The location.

Alma was a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. If Old San Juan is the destination this felt like the optimum spot. The building fits the setting yet the interior is fully fresh and modern. Though we only dined at Mar&Rosa the food options are excellent for any meal required. The seafood at Mar&Rosa was great. Next time we will try Andaluz. The coffee shop seemed great as well though there were a number of great coffee shops just a few steps from the hotel as well. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming. I will highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Juan.
