Donguri House Bali

I had such a wonderful stay at Donguri House. Shanti is a fantastic host and she and her family are so accommodating and kind. They looked after me like family! Excellent communication and service. The apartment was very clean, cosy and quiet. It was beautifully and thoughtfully designed by Shanti's sister-in-law. Donguri House felt like a home away from home for 1-2 people as it has everything you need. Very secure and private. Located 5-15 mins walk to the beach and restaurants, cafes, convenience stores. About 10-15 mins drive from the airport. Look forward to returning soon!

The owner was very accommodating and helpful. The beach was nearby and the location was good. The place was quiet and comfortable and spacious like a little apartment, not just a room. I would recommend this for a nice relaxing time.

The rooms is like in the pictures. Very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, I slept very well Shanti is a gem. She is so caring and nice and she ensured we have everything. She also advised us on the local prices and where to get fruits and food. The location is 5 minutes walking from the beach/restaurants. By scooter, a few minutes from the fish market where you can go take fish and grill it at a restaurant.

Location was excellent, very quiet and isolated from traffic etc. The host was wonderful, very kind and communicative.

Wall plugs could have been the new international-adapter style, allowing for plugs from many countries to slot straight in, as many hotels and airbnb's are now doing in Balia.

I had an absolutely marvelous stay here. The apartment is comfortable, clean, and very spacious. I enjoyed having a kitchen with full size refrigerator and everything that I needed to cook my own meals. Excellent location. Quiet, down a small alleyway away from the street. Very secure with an eight foot masonry wall surrounding my building and the swimming pool. One of the best things about the apartment is the manager, Shanti, who is very friendly and helpful.

Very quiet and peaceful

Lovely place to stay the night before our flight out. Shanti (the manager) was extremely welcoming and attentive, and made everything easy. Rooms were comfy. Extremely good value for money.

Only callout is that the driveway floods and you have to wade through it (looks like often as per the comments) but this is manageable as Shanti helped us get from one side to the other. In a quiet area of town.

😊Firstly, the owner (Shanti) was so kind & responsive, a very kind & lovely lady. She treated us like family. She even made some vegan food for my daughter. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean. The outdoor shower in the downstairs apartments is lovely. A nice outdoor sitting area but plenty of mosquitos during the rainy season. The kitchen was well appointed if you plan to cook. A big water dispenser in the kitchen was great. Very close to the airport.

☹️The pool was a little dirty from tree droppings. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell. Too many dogs loose on the streets. The beach & general area was dirty. A decent supermarket, cafes & restaurants apart from seafood are not in walking distance. There is a basic mini mart & small local shop in walking distance. You need a bike, car or to hire transport to go anywhere. The driveway area up to the property floods after a big rain. A coffee plunger would be a welcome addition.
