Clean, quiet room, easy check in. Fabulous location

Booked a handicap accessible room on one level. Multiple stairs were required to access room. Additional amenities, including soundproof walls (you could completely hear the conversation conversations in the next room and they were not talking loud) and coffee maker in the room were not present as well.

I think this property has a ton of potential. The view is beautiful and the concept is great. We loved the little coffee shop.

However, it was very confusing from the beginning. There is no staff to help you check in. Rooms were located down a maze that you had to figure out yourself. The key was in the doorknob. We ate dinner (2 appetizers) at the reserve which was very expensive for what it was. The people in the room next to us were up until 1:30 AM partying. The walls are so thin it sounded like they were in our room. I was so frustrated, I would have called the front desk in a normal situation. However, they don’t have any staff to run a front desk. Our noisy neighbors were up at 6:30 AM, slamming doors and talking full volume, going up and down the hallway repeatedly, waking us up. This trip was a Christmas gift to my spouse. Unfortunately, it was sadly disappointing.

great lodge in a great setting. only frustration was lack of staff on site MONDAY DURING SHOULDER SEASON, AND DIFICULTY GETTING TO ICE MACHINE.

NewVida Preserve was exactly what we were looking for for our quick fall getaway. The property was gorgeous. We walked around every morning and evening. Sat on the deck with our coffee. We enjoyed our dinner at the Summit & Spice restaurant and our morning quiches at the bistro. NewVida is a quick and beautiful drive to Lake Placid and other wonderful nature and tourist spots. Perfect location! It was so quiet. And each and every member of the staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and helpful. Yet the property never felt crowded or too bustling. I can't wait to book another, longer stay in the future. I wish we had enough time to join a yoga class and visit the fitness center Next time!

Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable! I am being nit-picky here, but I would recommend the team pay a little more attention to detail in the common areas. The coffee maker, water filling station, and hot water kettle could use a good scrubbing on a more regular basis. It could also use refilling more regularly, there were often no stir sticks and never any napkins. The rocking chair area needed some more regular vacuuming. Otherwise, no notes.

Das Fitnessstudio, die Einrichtung/Atmosphäre, der Billiardtisch/die Tischtennisplatte und der Garten waren sehr schön. Die Zimmer waren schön. Der Check-in war unkompliziert. Die Lage war sehr schön mit tollem Bergpanorama im Garten.

Wir waren von der Sauberkeit nicht ganz überzeugt (fremde Haare an mehreren Stellen gefunden). Wir konnten im Hotel eigentlich nicht frühstücken, es gibt aber scheinbar an 4 Tagen Abends einen Restaurantbetrieb. In den umliegenden Ortschaften kann man aber ganz gut frühstücken. Sehr geeignet, wenn man eine abgelegene Idylle mit wenig Menschenkontakt sucht.

I'm so glad the property has been repurposed and providing a needed destination spot for this little town .

Rooms have no tvs, but that's ok.if only 1 night . Here is a big deal though..pillows are important ! 2 per person is great but one has to be foldy flatty for sleeping and one has to be a thick , firmy for propped reading ..they both can not be thick and firm . Linens were fine , mattress was too but the whimpy ,rain shower head ..I hope every inn installing these things sees the error and installs a hand held, especially when water pressure is weak .
