Dimora in Prato

The apartments are in a good location just off the Prato delle Valle park which is very attractive. They were easy to find and the communication with staff before and during the stay was good. They were quick to help when I couldn't get the aircon to work. The bathroom was a good size and modern with new fittings. There was a fridge to keep drinks cool in. There is a supermarket about 5 mins walk away which was useful.

The apartment booked wasn't big enough for 5 people as it was 2 rooms with a double and single bed in one (which was fine) but the room with the sofa bed was cramped. There weren't enough chairs for us all to sit down. Parts of the apartment were unfinished and there were bare bricks showing in the doorway and some pipes sticking out of the wall. There seems to be some problem with the wiring as when our neighbours came back late at night and put the lobby lights on the spotlights directly above our bed came on when we were all asleep and woke us up! The aircon unit doesn't reach the second room (where the sofa bed is) and an extractor fan is needed in the bathroom as this became very hot and steamy after 5 of us took a shower.

My room wasn’t ready for check in at my arrival. I had to go away and went back in the evening. I had an event that night and I couldn’t even shower. The AC emitted loud noises every 30 sec…I let the owner know and he said “just shut it down”. But the most incredible thing is that Booking.com gave me a partial refund for the issues and the owner kept asking the money back. At the end I gave him his money back because I was tired of all this bullshit.

It was clean and everything was working properly.

I would suggest putting nets over the windows as there was lots of mosquitos and it was impossible to open the windows as lots of mosquitos would fly immediately. There was no cups or mugs for water. There should be a kettle to be able to make some tea or coffee.

Good location, close to everything!

Were ants in the room and it was not soundproof! If you’re staying close to the entrance, you have to sleep with earplugs.

If you need only bed and shower, so it’s ok. A small fridge would be an advantage, especially during hot days.

It was hot in the room and there was no possibility to turn on AC. The room was near street, so when you open the window it’s noisy.
