I travel extensively around the world. But I can say without hesitation: the Mandarin Oriental is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I spent three days there with my family, and it was an exceptional experience. For three days, I wondered if there was even the smallest thing I could improve? I couldn't find anything... The care and attention to detail are legendary. There's no point in describing the quality of the breakfasts, the comfort of the beds, the beauty of the pool, or the hotel's decor—because it's ALWAYS TOP OF THE TOP! I have a comparison, having stayed in a total of four 5-star hotels in Oman. Comparisons yield only one winner. Simply experience the difference between the best hotels and the Mandarin Oriental.

Beautiful luxury hotel. Staff and service were very special. Everything here was beyond excellent. Dining experience was indulgent and the dining area was lovely. Room was large with a luxurious feel in all amenities.

Me and my ladies recently enjoyed a truly delightful breakfast experience at Rawya Restaurant by Mandarin Oriental Muscat, From the moment we were seated, I knew this would be different from the usual buffet hustle. Their à la carte menu concept truly elevated the experience, allowing us to sit back, relax, and enjoy each other’s company without the need to constantly get up and browse food stations. The menu offered a thoughtful and diverse selections, beautifully presented dishes made to order, from classic favorites like eggs benedict , Asian porridge to local inspired selection. Everything was served at a relaxed pace giving us time to enjoy the morning without feeling rushed. Our lovely server Ms Sherin made excellent recommendations, along with her colleague Mr Praheet and Mr Sanjeet. Their service was attentive without being intrusive. What made the experience even more special was the ambiance of restaurant its quiet, elegant and conducive to conversation, a far from the usual clatter of buffet crowds. Lastly, Thank you to Mr. Yassine Hafhaf for giving us the best breakfast experience, I truly appreciate your kindness and professionalism. Your presence added such a personal touch to our morning. I have stayed in many beautiful hotels over the years, but this one is right at the top. It is not just about the luxury, although that is everywhere you look, it is the way they make you feel completely at home. We arrived very early after an overnight journey, tired and ready to rest. I had mentioned beforehand that I am expecting and would appreciate an early check-in, and the team went above and beyond to make it happen. Our room was ready by 8am, which was such a relief, and to my surprise we had been upgraded to a suite. It was huge, elegant, and had every little thing we could think of. The hotel is stunning, modern and sleek, yet full of beautiful Middle Eastern touches that give it warmth and charm. Being new, everything feels fresh and immaculate. The spa is one of the most beautiful I have seen, and the massage I had with Padmi was easily one of the best I have ever experienced. The gym is large and well equipped, and the pool area is gorgeous with thoughtful touches like chilled water served on arrival. Dining was a daily highlight. Rawya was fantastic, and the team made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was excellent, offering both a buffet and an à la carte menu. A big thank you to Sara, Maryam, Anusha, Otman, Win, and Sanjeet for their kindness. Essenza, the Italian restaurant, was equally memorable, with Talia being so lovely and accommodating. Housekeeping was flawless. Moe kept our room spotless and often left little surprises like fresh fruit, dates, baklava, and even a welcome note. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that the valet service could sometimes be a bit slow even when we gave notice, but it did not affect our stay in any real way. The location is perfect, right on the beachfront, close to restaurants, shops, and malls, and a couple of hours from most major attractions. We chose it for its design, location, and the fact it is a newer property, and it exceeded our expectations completely. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and already talking about when we could return. This is more than just a hotel, it is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.

We stayed 4 nights at Mandarin Oriental Muscat as part of our 25th wedding anniversary travels — and it was exceptional from start to finish. Despite our 4 a.m. arrival, the Front Office (special thanks to Husam and Sheryl) had our room ready and welcomed us warmly. Thoughtful surprises from Sheryl Barcelon - e.g. welcome cake and even post-hike fruits and juices sent to our room, were much appreciated. Breakfast at Rawya was a joy daily, thanks to Yassine Hafhaf and team (Othman, Win, Alina, Hilton and Chef from Myanmar). The Chef specially Asian dishes which we loved. The Sawa Lounge team (Tiffany and Tani) made our Afternoon Tea session such a delight. On our final day, the lovely ladies even packed us a chocolate cake for the airport! Such impeccable and unforgettable service throughout — highly recommend this 5-star hotel for anyone visiting Oman.

My room was immaculate, with breathtaking views and thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true sanctuary. The food — whether at breakfast or in the restaurants — was delicious and beautifully presented. I especially appreciated the local flavors and fresh ingredients. The pool and beach area were perfect for relaxing, and I enjoyed spending quiet time there, just soaking in the sun and the peaceful vibe. I also loved how easy it was to explore the local markets and nature spots nearby — the concierge gave great recommendations! Thank you, Mandarin Oriental Muscat, for a stay that was both relaxing and soul-nourishing. I can’t wait to return.

Had a wonderful one week stay with the family at the end of July. Large spacious immaculate rooms. Excellent Room service. Breakfast was very good indeed and a la carte and buffet mix which we preferred to the standard buffet. The staff were very attentive and charming from management through to waiting staff. Highly recommend.

New wonderful hotel attentive staff fantastic room! We spent our wedding anniversary at the hotel, where we received extremely attentive and kind service! We also received a thoughtful little gift from the restaurant manager and the Sawa Lounge! Staying at the entire hotel was a real relaxation, the calm and kindness typical of the hotel chain was also present here! We are glad that we finally chose this hotel instead of the Chedi, which is under reconstruction, the best hotel in Muscat for a few days

Mandarin Oriental in Musqat was better than we could ever imagined! Outstanding service from every department! Restaurant service, pool service during the day and even cleaning service! So friendly and warm! If we visit Musqat again we will definitely book Mandarin! Thanks to the whole team from Yassine to make our visit wonderful!
