AWOL Stowe

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the property was wonderful. We would definitely stay again. Loved the breakfast and the fire pit.

Beautiful property with great service and an excellent breakfast. My wife and I spent a weekend here for our 10 year anniversary and had a great time. It’s in a nice location with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We’d love to return.

We arrived at 3 PM for a 4PM check in. The room wasn’t ready so the took my cell phone number and said they would call me when the room was ready, which never happened. The room was dark and dirty. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. Best thing I can say is property is in a convenient location. Too bad.

Very inviting woodsy setting! Cozy fire pits outside to enjoy cool nights, fab bar for drinks later and the breakfast spread very appealing and delicious! Service awesome, truly a hidden delight in Stowe!

We enjoyed our stay at AWOL Stowe. A special thank you to Valeria for making us feel so welcome. AWOL is located just a short drive (like 1 - 2 minutes) from restaurants in and around downtown Stowe. It was a great home-base. It's on the route to Smuggler's Notch and very near the Mt. Mansfield Toll Road (both things I recommend doing, especially the Toll Road. There's a hike at the top that is so worth it.). When you check-in at AWOL, you'll see the dining room (where breakfast is served) and plenty of seating for dining as well as relaxing. There's also a 24-hour, self-serve coffee and tea station. We stayed in room 151 facing the pond and A-frame cabins. It's a spacious suite with a large bedroom (with walk-in closet) and living area. The bathroom had a walk-in shower. There are several fire pits outside in the common areas, as well as a hot tub, a cold tub, and a sauna. We never saw these areas crowded and had plenty of time to enjoy all of them. Each morning there was a large "Toast Bar" for breakfast in the dining room. Fresh baked breads, hard-boiled eggs, prosciutto, fresh fruit, granola, greens, jams, and more.

Excellent location, the property was like a dream - beautifully designed and unique. Every corner was picture-worthy. The artisanal toast bar had some variety each day and the hot tub was excellent.

Beautiful property, a great breakfast provided, and my husband enjoyed the old fashions a lot. The hot tub was also a very nice touch and we enjoyed sitting around the fire. Highly recommend, it was a quiet, relaxing stay and also very close to downtown Stowe and even walkable.
