Tall Pines Lodge - Dog Friendly Nr Sutton on Sea

Lovely spacious lodge. Everything you needed. Fantastic view. Simon & Cheryl was always on hand if we needed anything ☺️

The location, the lodge itself, and the site were lovely .

We arrived at the site an hour early as we wanted to make sure we knew where it was before heading into Sutton on Sea. As the lodge looked empty, I messaged to ask if it was ready and was told yes, which was helpful as we could empty the car 🙂. However, we found the bedding did not look clean and was creased as though someone just got out of it and just tidied it, and there were hairs in the bed also. The hob had not been cleaned, and the overall standard of cleaning was poor. My partner spoke to the manager, and in fairness, he did arrange to get the issues addressed very quickly, but he also mentioned in the conversation that we were early and that they try to keep the cost affordable. It was annoying that he thought this would be a valid reason for poor cleaning. We do not agree and also do not class what we paid as a 'budget' price. Such a lovely lodge, which it is, you would expect cleaning standards to be high. Unfortunately, for the reason mentioned, we would not be happy to return ☹️. Hopefully, the manager has now upgraded the cleaner 👍🏻

Immaculate lodge in beautiful surroundings. Only a 5 minute drive into Sutton on Sea. Check in was very straight forward. The lodge is fully equipped with everything you might need. Had a lovely couple of days staying here. Would definitely recommend.
