"Disappointing"

4.0

The view was amazing

The compost toilet, the shower facilities was extremely poor no hot water on site to wash pots, which all needed washing coz of the dust and flies in the wagon, the front door did not fit properly, the wagon was on a hill so the wind was blowing through the door all night it was noisy and freezing.so didn't get much sleep,

It's the first time we have done anything like this and we loved every minute. The site was exceptionally clean, Ian the host was amazing such a lovely man so welcoming and friendly, we briefly saw his son and he was also lovely. The actual wagon was beautiful, the beds were comfy and each wagon had its own toilet - which we weren't expecting - there was a shower - which we used - which was perfect for a refresh our 3 year old loved it. There was a barn where you could purchase essentials and fire wood which also contained chairs and outside games to use and a shared fridge and freezer. The view was amazing and we saw deer, rabbits and a mole! We also heard the owls at night. It's a perfect place to bring your telescope, we did some star gazing and saw a shooting star! We had a couple of fires at night and a bbq, we played plenty of games and made some brilliant memories. It's the perfect place to come to decompress and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Highly recommended, many thanks to Ian and his family, you may see us again at some point both girls want to come back!

Only negative - which isnt a masisve thing - is there is only cold water - which is fresh from the spring which is amazing - it wasn't a problem for us as we just heated some up, it is glamping after all for us it was all part of the experience.

"Having paid £258 we left after one night of a two night stay very underwhelming"

5.0

Host was very friendly. Breakfast basket was a treat Views of the forest

Shower facilities are poor. A cubicle in the corner of a barn with a carpet hung up as a weather shield. No wifi ,no phone signal, no electricity at all in sheds Own bedding, towels required. The shed we stayed in could do with a thorough clean, dead insects abound

"Quirky and unique wagons with beautiful view and amazing host!"

10.0

Amazing host, really friendly and helpful. Amazing location with a beautiful view. The welcome hamper and was a lovely touch. The wagons are beautiful, very quirky and all individual. Compost toilet was immaculate, and the communal barn was well equiped with lots of fridge space, and a small shop for essentials (pasta & beer, fire lighters, logs etc.) I can't wait to retun!

"Bruce was so welcoming and the welcome pack was amazing"

10.0

Everything, it was quirky comfy and had everything we needed and more I was a bit concerned about the toilet situation but it was actually fine and an experience as we have never used a compost loo before Bruce has done amazing to make sure everything we needed was there

There was nothing we didn’t like we cannot wait to return.

"overall we all enjoyed it and Bruce's hospitality is exceptional!"

Beautiful surrounding, quiet and relaxing

due to bad weather and no heated shower it was difficult to be confined to a very small place. However, kids absolutely loved it and it was a good for experience for what it was like in the past.

"Heaven on earth."

10.0

This place is heaven on earth. The position of the wagon means you wake up to the most breathtaking view ever. We were blown away. The wagon is amazing, with exceptionally comfortable beds. The hosts go out of their way to welcome you and make your stay as comfortable as possible, they are also wonderfully friendly. We loved it so much we booked again straight away. We had planned a day out in nearby Scarborough but the location was so great we stayed at the wagon instead. If simple rustic living is your thing, you will not be disappointed.

We loved everything.
