West Palm Hotel

The highligh: staff and their beautiful attitude. I cannot fault them whatsoever. My warm congratulations to them. They were the best of the hotel. Maintenance of hotel: terrible. The owner needs to bring it up to scratch, particularly because the location is a bit dodgy (away from everything) so the hotel and its facilities needs to offer the best but it's far from that. Eco-friendly: terrible. They only use disposable plastic eating utensils. I really disliked that. Provision in the room: kudos for bottles of water on check in but once those are finished, they make you pay for more. We were booked for 4 people and they only supplied 2 bath towels. Once we asked for more, we were given more. No moisturizing cream (disappointing). Bed linen and towels were a bit run down and with small stains. Food: disappointing. Breakfast was greasy. Dinner too expensive (did not try it for that very reason). Wraps tasty but bread too thick and not freshly made.

The room was smelling really bad the doors were old and had holes in them.i was greeted by 2 lizards as i open my door,the ac condensor is right over the entry door an all the water falls on u when passing,the ceiling fan was filled with dust.breakfast was the worst the only good thing was the pool and it was dirty as well.it wasnt a good experience at all.first day there a couple dropped a glass bottle by the pool i had to clean up the glass the next day as there were no ground staff honestly the only thing i enjoyed was the quiet,the refreshing sounds of the birds was nice.

I understand the security issues with guest, however parking to the rooms you stay should be allowed and put measures in place

To begin, there was no information about the different levels, and the number of steps it took to get to and from our rooms when we booked the hotel, which as it turned out was at the back of the property. The only good thing about the rooms were the air conditioning and the bathrooms that were nicely tiled, although we had to battle bugs and mosquitoes that came in through the holes in the mesh outside of the little windows. The tv remote did not work, nor did the wifi, so we could not get room service, and had to trek down four levels of stairs, and cross the property to get to the front desk to request assistance. We were transferred to rooms closer to the front of the property the next day, but the view from the balcony was a wall and steps leading up to the pool. Again, there was no wifi service at that level either, and not only did the tv remote not work, which did not matter anyway because TNT was the only channel available, we had to unplug the tv when it was time to sleep. Only one night stand in the room, and no lamp. We had to request an ironing board and iron, as well as fresh towels after two days, as well as put out the trash for pickup. The property owner needs to pay more attention to the details, and the overall upkeep for the property. Too much exposed and broken PVC piping that were an eyesore. There needs to be solar lighting along the pathway leading to the upper levels, so you can see your way at night. As for breakfast! hotdogs are not sausages!

Welcoming & responsive staff. Generally tidy but signs of wear and tear, suggesting need for investing in upgrading facilities.

The room and swimming pool was clean.

The fish soup for dinner was excellent, and by itself raised the overall score from 3/5 to 4/5.
