West Palm Hotel

The hotel is old and dated, However it seems as though it’s on the verge of closing down. At check in I asked for a clean room because I was carrying an infant. However the room wasn’t clean and the sheets look as though it wasn’t change with hair and many stains. Above all room entrance were leaking air conditioners and many cats 🐈 screaming at you outside your room. The tv, microwave and refrigerator did not work. The adjoining door was poorly built you can hear everything on the other side. The breakfast was a cold hard toast you had to pick up in a take away box and it was horrible. The pool was the only great thing except it was filthy. And no staffs and attendant for anything. Not even a phone 📞 in the bedroom. The beds were horrible.

They didn’t have WiFi for more then/4 hours. I also didn’t have hot water first night. Two basic things in the 21st century.

After checking we found the hotel was under construction, the washroom flushes didn’t work properly, horrible smell inside and outside of the room renovation people were walking everywhere surrounding the hotel room, and the hotel looked fully insecure. I just thinking how this type of hotel continues there business even the hotel is in under construction.

The staff were unhelpful. The rooms are hard to fin and the staff do noit guide you. They gave me a room with two enormous air conditioners outside - very noisy - so I complained and was given a quieter one b ut it required a lot of too and fro. Dinner such as it was, was pretty appalling and inflxible. You had to give a deposit for the aircon remote which says a lot about their clientele. Huge amounts of form filling at reception. Breakfast almost a bad as dinner - no choice at all. instant coffee and a tea bag and a kettle. Overall got the impression the staff did not care at all.

The Property Was falsely advertised with pictures that were photo shopped! it was in a terrible state! The fist night I tripped an fell bruised my arms and leg , they had no first aid they did not even offer help we had to go to the store and purchase our own medical supplies. Today we came to find out instead of charging the local currency they charged the same amount in US dollars, like $ 4500.00 !

Staff were helpful in finding a ride to the Fast Ferry at (!) 4:30 am. Excellent AC. Only downside was the loud grass-trimmer just outside. At first I thought: no TP!, but it was behind me..

Great staff. Generous size rooms. Food was delicious Great variety with fresh fruit options. Lunch options and availability were amazing. I'll definitely be returning
