Fabulous staff. Beautiful location. Everything provided that was needed.

Nothing we did not like!

With the beach right there, a large pool, a tasty restaurant and the city right at you r driveway I don't think it gets much better. Lots of safety, room cleaning was great-- plenty of towels, bath soaps and shampoos and lotions-- and staff pleasant. Book exchange is inside the towel outlet. This is my favorite St Maarten location-- can get to Cupecoy Beach ( clothing optional) walking or inexpensive city bus, to Mullet Bay Beach, to Maho or even Simpson Bay Beach easily and there are several grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and casinos at your doorstop.

St. Maarten is one of my favorite Caribbean islands—I visit 3–4 times a year—and the Royal Islander Club at La Plage has become my go-to stay. The hotel is amazing, super clean, and perfectly located just minutes from my favorite beach, Mullet Bay. The staff makes the experience even better. Sherma at the front desk is incredible, and the bartenders are always friendly and fun. If you’re heading to St. Maarten and want comfort, great service, and the best location, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back!

We booked to stay here way back towards the end of last, expecting far more than what we experienced. We expected the sort of facilities one might expect of a high class hotel. However, this was not to be! Whilst the accommodation was acceptable and the staff extremely friendly and welcoming, the lack of facilities was a disappointment. This is a time share complex, which rents out empty suites to casual travellers. Whilst the suites are generous in size, but lacking in ambience, there weren’t even basic materials such as washing up liquids, etc, or brooms to sweep up sand, etc. There’s no restaurant attached, which means no breakfast is included or available - which we expected. You have to go outside for meals and even light snacks! The bar - such as it is - lacks atmosphere, comfort and offered only a very basic range of drinks. There are a number of traditional hotels close by, but residents of this place are not allowed to use their facilities, some of which are excellent (we used some until told that as we were not staying in such and such a hotel, we could not use their facilities facilities). Even the pool lacked facilities to get drinks or snacks. We cannot recommend this place and would strongly advise travellers to look closely at nearby hotels through which they will and enjoy a more positive experience. We have already decided to return to St. Maarten next year, but will stay in one of the hotels close to this time share complex.

Nice place,got more than expected. Very helpful staff. I got late flight the L let me check out later. Very appreciated for that.

It is a beautiful resort in a great location. The staff very all very friendly and helpful. The view of the beach and all the planes arriving was spectacular. It was very convenient for buses, taxis and shuttles with other beautiful beaches close by. It is 5 minutes from the airport, so no wasting time getting to your resort. Grab an early flight and you can be on the beach by noon. Tortuga beach bar is great and The Driftwood Beach Bsr next door is great too. I will definitely be returning here.

Almost everything to be honest it was a lovely experience.

I didn’t like that check-out was all the way until 4pm, and we came back at 4pm, and the room still wasn’t ready. They tried giving us another room, which I wasn’t happy with because I wanted what I paid for not a ground floor with a garden view. Eventually, a lovely Indian lady said, 'Hold on, they’ll get the room ready for us that we paid for.' We went upstairs to the room; the maids were still cleaning it, and we had to wait about 10 minutes again. When they were done, they said to wait about 2 minutes for the floor to dry. Waiting was the only issue we had because we wanted to relax in the room.

Open ,clean ,comfortable and spacious . The pool was large and clean with plenty of sun beds ,the staff put on activities for those who enjoyed them. The Staff themselves were friendly ,helpful and nothing was too small or too large for them to handle and attentive without being intruding which give a great friendly comfortable atmosphere. AND for all those plane spotters out there the position of the hotel is excellent for the whole St Maarten experience.

Slightly dated but that’s immaterial as the overriding experience was excellent
