Ikos Porto Petro

Just back from a week in Porto Petro, in my opinion it's the jewel in the Ikos crown. We've done Andalusia, Dassia, Olivia, Aria and then PP. We've enjoyed all of them but for us (family of 4) Porto Petro was our absolute favourite, it was outstanding. The location, the views, the restaurants and staff, all brilliant. Service was seamless, food amazing and staff can't do enough for you, so friendly and helpful. Everyone genuinely wants you to have an amazing time. We have only done deluxe once (Aria) but still felt Porto Petro stood out even over deluxe Aria. If you're not sure which to choose I'd highly recommend it. They're extending this winter with more rooms, pools and a greek restaurant. We loved the local walks / guided runs / cycling and the trip to Santanyi market. We used the padel courts, bikes, did yoga and enjoyed the spa. We also enjoyed the live music of an evening. We tried the dine out in Cala Dor, which was a good experience and we got to have a walk round the marina. The food in the dine out was lovely. Would go back in a heart beat 🌞 Shout out to Iona and Dimitris in the Beach Club, great service. Many other staff were wonderful but it's hard to remember all the names. Thank you for a great week.

What can I say but amazing hotel, location, staff, management and facilities. From the moment we arrived the check in was perfect. The vibe around the hotel is great and you feel relaxed straight away. Food is always great, service attentive and quick. Never had to wait long for any meal. Some plates are small so we found our selves order multiple mains. Rooms are spotless and welcoming. Only negative points are water sports seems a bit disjointed out of the hotel in the harbour and the resort is a bit long with some hills but these are nit picking overall one of the best hotels we have stayed in,

This is our 2nd trip to Porto Petro , we came in 2023 when it was relatively new and this was our 11th Ikos holiday, so as you can see we love the brand .Everything that has been said about this beautiful resort is true, and breakfasts in Olivia are lovely, overlooking the Marina.But for us personally the  2 little coves, although very picturesque, as beaches let it down. Most of the staff are charming and helpful, but the stand out for us as an Ikos ambassador is Manos.We were lucky to meet him 2 years ago and he took the trouble to seek us out on our return visit .He exemplifies what the Ikos brand is about, it is staff like him that keep us coming back . Unfortunately the Ikos experience isn't  quite 5 star luxury any more, which some other people have expressed in their reviews.The majority of the staff work hard and have a smile on their faces. I think maybe there are less staff now, we had a bad experience at Anaya, usually our favorite due to the chilled vibe but it was chaotic and we were left waiting for menus and food despite others being seated after us, this may sound picky but its not what we have come to expect from Ikos. We went to the Gin tasting as the wine tasting was cancelled, we have always enjoyed this as it informs our wine choices for the rest of our stay.The Gin tasting was historically interesting but at least 2 of the gins were Deluxe only. It feels from reading the recent reviews that the people who are blown away , now seem to be the Deluxe customers. We know every holiday destination is expensive now, but Deluxe would be currently out of our reach.

I visited this resort with my family in June and we truly enjoyed our stay! A special thank you to Andreas for his incredible support — he managed our restaurant bookings, rearranged plans when needed, provided extra room service, and always responded quickly. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy our trip to the fullest! The resort itself offers a great variety of delicious cuisine, plenty of outing possibilities, and clean, beautiful rooms. Thank you for such a wonderful summer holiday!

First of all this resort is stunning the location on two bays makes for some spectacular views. This is our second Ikos stay. We were persuaded by Ikos Oceania to give Ikos another chance after a not so great stay in June. We have not really changed our minds that friends and older couples are not the target market for Ikos. We felt the stays were very much aimed at the family market. That in itself is not an issue for us, as this resort provides a lot of adult only spaces in the day. Two pool areas and a bar creates some nice peaceful spaces. However, come the evening when you’d like to relax and enjoy the bars and restaurants there never seemed to be any peace. When singers or entertainment were laid on in the restaurants it was difficult to hear. Our first and favourite restaurant booking was at Seasons. We were invited to so sit in a quieter zone which we thought might be what could be expected every evening. Sadly not the case. The staff placing you at a table as you checked into the restaurants always tried their best to find a table to suit but they clearly have no control over the behaviour of other guests and their children. The night at Fresco was probably the worst. We were invited to wait in the bar until a table became free. We perhaps should have thought it would be a popular choice with children because of the pizzas and maybe given it a miss. As it turned out the food was mediocre at best. The beach area in front of Fresco is also the location of the Deluxe premium Dine on the Beach product. We didn’t book this service and were offered it again when we cancelled our dine out experience. Having witnessed this service while at Fresco quickly decided it was not something we would enjoy as again the area by the tables was inundated with children running around doing cartwheels etc. not exactly the ambience I’m sure they were aiming for. Food was generally of a good but not outstanding quality. Beach and Fresco were both well below the standard of Seasons and Anaya. Another review mentions the difficulty trying to change a booking once you’re at the resort, this proved the case with us. We booked at very short notice so did not have time to scrutinise the menus in depth. We decided to cancel our booking for Olivia and also our dine out option. We were able to be accommodated one of the nights at Anaya which was appreciated but were stuck with the buffet for our last night. Again we were invited to sit in the adults only area but this was not strictly adhered to as children were allowed to run up and down, in and out of the doors etc. the food in the buffet was very unappealing to us so did not fare well. We left after a shared plate of salad and cheese. I do appreciate that this is our issue and why I say we are not the Ikos target market. Our deluxe suite was pleasant enough but not outstanding. The glass balcony over looked one of the pathways running back and forth between the rooms. This meant you were on public view so sitting on the large balcony was a little uncomfortable. We noticed this was the case with many of the rooms, pool suites had no privacy whatsoever. Perhaps not an issue for some people but was glad we had not opted for one of these rooms. There is construction going on six days a week somewhere close by, not sure if it is part of the hotels own expansion programme but noise could be heard from early in the morning until late afternoon every day but Sunday. The hotel’s best asset are the staff who all work tirelessly to provide you with clean accommodation and surroundings. Waiting staff always in hand to bring you drinks and treats. Our stay was not awful by any means but feel for the price we paid did not provide the best possible outcome.

Enjoyed a great family holiday at ikos Porto Petro. The weather and resort was fantastic. Whilst all the staff had high standards of service, Special mention to Lydia in guest relations who was extremely helpful and made our stay even more memorable. We have now visited 4 ikos resorts and each is great in its own way. But with a great location added to great weather, the family thoroughly enjoyed our week. 😎🌞🍾

Fantastic time in an excellent resort. The staff are all amazing and we were so well looked after. Special mention to Lydia who looked after us really well. We look forward to revisiting in 2026

We spent the Autumn term break with our sons 5 and 19 months in a deluxe suite at Ikos and it was amazing! My husband and I were impressed about the quality of service we've got; the quality of the suite and different amenities across the resort without mentioning the excellent unlimited food and drinks. First, the service the staff is excellent and they did not know what to do to please us. As we were in a Deluxe suite we had a series of free amenities such as a free car to go around, 2 free massages, a concierge team which was excellent. The food across all restaurants is high standard and the quality of the wines menu impressive - wines is from Bordeaux and champagne is Tattinger. Second the resort is absolutely beautiful, secluded across a few calas and the views are spectacular wherever you are. You dont feel like there is a lot of guests as there are a lot of pools, several beaches and as many restaurants as there are weekdays! My 5 year old went to the kids club one day and he loved it; the staff was adorable. A few movie nights were organised during our stay and a few performances too and it was very nice. We also took some bikes and went to the nearby Parc de Mondrago and it was incredible. And we managed to do some pedalos with the kids and paddle boarding. I only have two improvements to make: - there is a lot of music everywhere in the resort and it would be nice to have less of it unless you go to an adult only area its music non stop - it did not bother us as we had a concierge but you need to book everything - restaurants, kids club, any watersports activities its a bit tiring at the end! Voila we will definitively try another ikos! Thank you!

My husband and I went to Ikos Porto Petro for our honeymoon. We were a part of the Deluxe Collection and had the absolutely best stay. Not only is the resort absolutely stunning, giving you a different view of Porto Petro each step of the way, but the staff make it even more enjoyable. Our lovely concierge, Maya, made our stay feel so special going above and beyond with little treats left in our room and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. She had great suggestions on what to do and how to make our stay feel personal. Eleftheria who worked at some of the restaurants on the resort was so kind and personable, always giving recommendation to the best dishes they had. Anthi who serves at the bars was so sweet and always ensured we were taken care of and ended our days with the best drinks. Thank you to everyone at Ikos for such an incredible stay. We are sure to recommend this resort to family and friends across the world!

Everyone has been really wonderful and attentive and especially Maya who has been amazing and helped with our stay. We had an awesome time and look forward to returning soon
