The house is located very close to the Square - short drive to all the places we wanted to be. Plenty of space for 4 people to stay the night, even more for 2 people. Great bathroom with lots of towels and a big shower. Central heating was perfect for the cold blitz while we were visiting. The record player was a nice touch! I also didn't realise the space was dog-friendly... if we had known beforehand, we may have invited my dog's brother to join :)

Believe the original listing advertised a pull out sofa... it was actually an air mattress, but it was comfortable. We did have to get in touch with the landlord to get linen for the extra bed. Housekeeping didn't quite tidy up beforehand, there was a wet bag of towels and dirty linen left behind, but they fixed it up within 30min. Since it was so cold - it would have been nice to have an electric kettle to heat up water, but we were able to boil water in a pot on the electic stove. I'm a bit fussy with my bedding as I run hot and need to have breathable fabrics + have sensitive skin... sheets and blankets were a polyester blend, not natural fabric like linen or cotton. If this is a concern for you, consider bringing your own bedding. Lastly, sleeping in the main bed, it rained really hard one night, and my partner said he felt water dripping on his arm (for about an hour, every few minutes, just a drop on himself or could hear it land on the bed)... but when we went to investigate the ceiling in the morning there didn't appear to be any water damage. So, I'm inclined to think... is this space haunted?! 😳 (which might even be something I like... as we're suckers for a bit of spooky history) or perhaps a leaky roof needs to be checked out.
