P.A.P.E's RETREAT

Loved the welcoming layout. Our grandma has a walker and it was the flat layout with everything still accessable that kept her a part of our family weekend. We also enjoyed the pool and walks to the river. It was a wonderful experience.

We were a bit taken aback to find areas taped off due to a septic tank that was bubbling up. Smelled bad and keeping the curious kids out of the trenches dug around the house was tricky. Just an inconvinience. But didnt ruin our time there

This lounge is one of the highlights of my life. There are a lot of animals around the house, giraffes come, we are confused to count the number of ungulates. In the evenings, a Farican cat watched us. The house has everything and even more. Very clean, lovely and warm pool, very comfortable beds. I was lucky enough to meet the hostess of the house, incredible and responsive, thank you very much I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this magical place. The entrance to Kruger (krogodil gate) is about 15 minutes away by car.

The location and animals were amazing

Lovely welcome by a giraffe on arrival. The pool was clean and inviting. A lovely home, clean, neat, and comfortable. A short walk to the Crocodile River with great views. Up close visitors to our verandah were, giraffe, warthog, kudu, duiker, bushbuck, banded mongoose. I liked everything ;-)

The location is amazing. The house is very comfortable and spacious enough for our group of 7. It had everything and more for our stay.

We where told the place has back up solar for power cuts but that never happened, we arrived for our first night in the darkness had to sit for hours in the dark because of load shedding only to be told the invertor didn't charge, the 2nd day as well when power went off we where left in the dark same story the invertor didn't charge,Gas tanks where empty so we had to wait for power to come back so we can feed, the pool area has no light its very dark even when there is power and the dining table also didn't have light. On our second day water was cold we had to boil water using the kettle to bath till we left on the 3rd day water was still cold. Due to the amount of times we called Brenda to complain of things that where not in order we just thought of not even calling about the water and just finish the time we had left because it was the worst experience.You need to keep up to what you advertise and double check your place before people check in because what we experienced was not even worth coming back again.
