P.A.P.E's RETREAT

We enjoyed the fact that we were able to cool of in the swimmingpool. Near to the fence of the Crocodile river and the comfort of the house.

It was an absolutely fantastic find for us and from the start received excellent communications from both Neil and Brenda. Thanks for the bottle of Pinotage, lovely touch. 🤗 The place is really well maintained and the kitchen is well stocked with all utensils necessary. Very comfortable home with air conditioning in bedrooms too. Good storage space too in bedrooms. The showers were really great, hot water and high pressure. Pool was lovely and clean. Fab receiving visits from the local wildlife life eg. Kudos, zebras (our favourite),wart hogs, impala etc. Would definitely stay there again as in such a lovely resort and within walking distance from the river with perfect viewing of the wildlife. Also not far at all from the Kruger National Park gates.

The nature,the fact that we could see the animals up close..the pool was the highlight because it was super hot..the beds were comfortable and is supper spacious..oh and the availability of supper fast wifi.Oh and the air conditioning in the rooms 🙌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

I think bathroom doors need to be more stable,kids can easily break them if you traveling with family and also please add toilet cleaners in toilets and something that makes it smell nicer,also hanging fans would be a plus for during those HOT weather,The light for the top balcony would also be a plus.

The place was big and had really good Wi-Fi. The pool was nice and the views were beautiful. We got to see a lot of animals

There were few pots and couldn’t cook for a family of 8. The single bed sheets had a funky smell. And there were too much wood sounds when walking around at the balcony and upstairs.

We had a wonderful stay at P.A.P.E's retreat. The bedrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The location is great!

Beautiful and very well stocked house. Great for big group or family and very comfortable. Lovely location with nature all around, just what we wanted. Lots of security, all explained to us by the housekeeper on arrival. Welcome bottle of wine on arrival.

Roads to access the property were not well maintained - 4x4 recommended. It would be great if the property had some of the basics - like cooking oil or soap. We had to spend quite a bit on these items and throw them away / leave them behind because we didn't need them for the hotels next on the agenda. Easy to pack / prepare for if you are local. We did have some slight issues with the power - we weren't able to use the A/C and the washing machine at the same time for example.
