The hosts are warm and helpful. The place is clean and tidy with many small details to make you comfortable. It is located close to the JR station and the famous market which easy to go anywhere else. The hosts are passionate which makes everything even better. The best stay in my Hokkaido trip.

Amazing warm welcoming from Juhasan and his family. They invited me to join them for breakfast, gave me a little gift (with a written note in my language) for my departure. I felt so much welcome, arigato for everything. I hope to come back some day.

This is a very homey, warm and comfortable stay. I stayed here for 6 nights during my ski trip. The host couple Huna-san and Kimi-san were very caring and personable. They took good care of me and invited me for breakfast every morning. When I checked-out, they also wrote me a sweet note and small gift. Location was very good. It's about 5 minute walk to the Otaru JR station, and right next to the one of the bus stops for Kiroro Ski resort (Green Otaru bus stop). There is 1 toilet cubicle and 1 shower stall shared amongst 4 guestrooms that is kept very clean. The shower is also hot and has strong pressure. Room is also clean and has aircon heater. The bed was comfortable. There was even a self-serve laundry machine for a small fee that was very convenient. As my ski bag was pretty big and heavy, I was allowed to keep my ski gear in the downstairs hallway.

No complaints. Keep in mind this guesthouse may not be for those with walking difficulties as there are some steep stairs to get to the guestrooms all located on the second floor.

Welcoming hosts, great location, extremely clean and warm. We came by car and it was lovely to be able to have a park right next to the guesthouse we appreciate that. Thank you for the lovely stay!

The proximity of the guest house was very close to the station, and the host and hostess, Funa and Kimi were extremely kind and helpful. The introduction to their guest house was very thoroughly, and made sure everyone was warm after traveling through the winter snow and temperature. Not only were the hosts very friendly and willing to chat, but they even provided and help make reservations at recommended restaurants! When I asked where I could find a furoshiki I could purchase for a souvenir, Kimi kindly offered one she had for me to take home as a souvenir! I had a great time chatting with them while waiting for my train to the next destination. They were even helping some other guests with translation of medical documents due to an injury received while skiing. Funa and Kimi are the perfect host to anyone staying in Otaru! I stayed in the Japanese style room and wish I could have stayed longer. Next time I go to Otaru, there's no doubt I'll be staying with them again!

The property was so cozy I felt right at home! They were so welcoming and I felt so comfortable while I was there! They made my experience so stress free I couldn’t be more thankful. The traditional style room was so pretty and cute I loved it so much I wish I could have stayed longer :( the location was also perfect and super convenient for exploring Otaru!

Kimi-san and Huna-san were amazing hosts. My partner got sick during our stay and Kimi-san gave us all sorts of food and medicine to help her get better. It was above and beyond kindness that made us feel very welcome in a foreign country. Huna-san dropped us off at the train station at the end of our stay even though we had ski gear and it was a blizzard. Highly recommend if you want a lovely Japanese experience!
