Smart Villa Hakone Gora - Smart Villa 箱根強羅

This is a really nice property. The place is spotless and it’s super modern. But, we likely wouldn’t stay here again.

There’s not one big thing that we didn’t like, just lots of little things that overall, would likely persuade us not to stay again: 1. There was no soap available next to the sink to clean your hands with after using the toilet. That’s just really unsanitary. 2. There’s literally no where to hang your clothes up or store them in the property. You have to leave everything in your suitcase. 3. Whilst there’s a washing machine in the house (which is a welcome feature), all of the dials are in Japanese and there’s no instructions in the welcome manual on how to use it so we had to waste time trawling Google. 4. The parking for the property is down an incredibly narrow lane. I found it very stressful navigating back and forth, especially as we were in a large people carrier type vehicle. 5. I know many properties now have CCTV outside, but it did feel a little intrusive. 6. To get to the only bathroom in the property, you have to go through one of the bedrooms which isn’t ideal.

La villa est vraiment belle, vous apprécierez le calme et le petit onsen privé. Très facilement accessible à pied depuis la gare si vous venez en transports en commun. On a trouvé un petit restaurant excellent à quelques pas.

Amazing property, close to transport, outdoor bath, sauna, big house. Loved it!

Amazing location, super comfortable beds, right near Gora station to head up the finicular and to see Fuji etc. The personal Onsen was magical.

Domek bardzo niedaleko stacji Hakone Tozanline, co bardzo ułatwiało nam poruszanie się po okokicy, z okolicznej stacji odjeżdżała też kolejka do Sengokuhara. Przestronny, bardzo czysty z prywatnym onsenem, wspaniały taras na którym rano piliśmy kawę. Pobyt bardzo udany, dziękujemy.

The villa was very spacious, clean, and relaxing. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the atmosphere surrounded by nature was amazing. The private onsen was especially beautiful and made the stay very enjoyable. Perfect place for a group trip.

The sauna did not heat up properly even after several hours at maximum temperature, which was disappointing. It would be great if this could be improved in the future.
