Orchard Nook - Sleeps 4, 2 Bedrooms (one ensuite)

Ideal for a short stay in Cumbria within an easy drive of Kendal. Very quiet with great views over rolling hills. A modern conversion of an old farm building.

Signage on the road would be helpful. The mezzanine bedroom was fine for us but might be a little tricky if you are less abled due to steep spacesaver staircase.

Lovely property, short drive out of Kendal and easy access to the main areas of the Lake District. Property had beautiful views, great facilities and ticked all our boxes. Two double rooms, one closed off with an en-suite, and a second on the mezzanine level, with a further bathroom downstairs. Loads of natural light which was delightful with the bonus weather we had. Hosts were very helpful and easy to reach if needed.

Amazing view from the living area across the hills. Lovely farmhouse feel with the other farmhouse apartments nearby. Everything needed was there & was warm & cosy with heating on. Second room is on a mezzanine level so more open.

Second bed is right under skylight, which I liked, but can get noisier in a storm.

The responsiveness of owners; the light; the quiet; the surrounding greenery; the living area.

A problem with the washing machine - but it was solved in minutes by a very kind host. One of the showers occasionally seemed to lose temperature setting which resulted in mild scalding. To note… a car is essential.

Great property with an amazing view. The house had all the required facilities and was kept really tidy and nice.
