Orchard Nook - Sleeps 4, 2 Bedrooms (one ensuite)

Lovely location with beautiful walks nearby, comfy beds, a well supplied kitchen, gorgeous views out the back garden, and an amazing and quirky set up with the bedrooms! Lovely hosts who were flexible to our needs. Thank you so much!

Great location, close to walks and a pub

Roads don’t have pavements

Easy to find, the property was spotless and had everything we could need. Howard called round to check everything was okay but apart from that we didn't see anybody and were left alone to enjoy, not overbearing in the slightest which can sometimes be an issue in these setups. Totally silent on a night and the bed was super comfy, an amazing couple of night's sleep. Any reviews regarding local amenities can be solved by researching where you plan to stay! We wanted middle of nowhere but within half an hour's walk of a train station and we got exactly that.

Compact but well set up. Very light in main living area. Swallows outside the front door (and occasionally in the kitchen)! Good access to other areas of Lake District and Kendal.

Got very hot when sun shone. Couldn't block all light on mezzanine level (could do most windows but not all). Had hoped to be able to walk out from the house but couldn't find any walks.

Property was comfortable and clean and well equipped. Location was great in terms of view of surrounding countryside and peace and quiet.

Need to be prepared to drive as no local facilities in walking distance.

Loved the setting, quiet, great views, great location, property really nice and very clean.

The host went out of his way to accommodate our car with sea kayaks on top. The accommodation was spotless. Lovely outdoor area that was too cold to use when we went, but nice to look at

We struggled with the TV. Could just be us being dinosaurs but the second night we didn't manage to watch a full episode of Father Ted 🙃
