York Minster Icona 239 - FREE parking and gym!

The apartment was nice.

The location was close to The Shambles but a bit industrial. Getting into the parkade was very difficult so we stayed within walking distance and didn’t explore the area. The parkade door works on a SIM card and if you have an international phone number it does not work. We

The flat was very clean. The location was excellent for York centre. The secure car park was a bonus.

The apartment itself was faultless. Immaculate and everything we needed was there.

We arrived at about 9pm. We had difficulty entering the building. We eventually followed someone in. We sat in reception (soaking wet because of heavy rain). Unsure of how to get the keys, I rang both numbers I’d been given. No reply from either, which was very frustrating. A resident on his way out, noticed we were stressed and asked if he could help. He took me to the car park to retrieve the keys from the lock box. We didn’t know which apartment we’d been allocated, so he had to try several lock boxes with the code I’d been given. We hadn’t arrived by car so we had no idea where the car park was. If he hadn’t have helped us, I don’t know what we would have done. Also, it’s advertised as having a consierge? At no time during our stay did we see/meet one. Nobody to help in reception, ever. I wouldn’t recommend for that reason. The lock box was fiddly, unable to see numbers without a torch and no one (concierge) to help.

Host was very communicative. Property was very clean and very well equipped (particularly in terms of kitchen equipment). Located only a 10 minute walk from the town centre this was an extremely pleasant stay. We would stay again.

Fantastic and spacious apartment, perfect for a walk into york city centre.

Nothing bad to say about this place or the communication

The cleaner sadly forget to put them back in the safe but within 30 mins we were able to get a spare set, little messing but the rest of the stay more than made up for it
