It was a nightmare to get in and off the property. Even though travel was not for work it was for our Company Awards Function. Never again will we use Zimbali. Even though accommodation was booked we stayed elsewhere on the 2nd night.

The place was lovely however it was a nightmare to get into the property and get out of the property. It was ridiculous that I could not get a Visitors QR code. My Director was dropping us off at the property and because he could not get into the property we booked else where for the couple to stay. We would like a refund for the one night accommodation.

Zimbali is incredible - great facilities, staff, shuttles to pools etc. Always a wonderful stay. The lady who cleaned our unit was so friendly. I've stayed at Suite 106 before and although this experience was different, there are many things that haven't changed. The unit is spacious and clean with everything set up for a comfortable stay. With everything to do at the resort, the unit was honestly just a place to sleep as we were outdoors most of the time. The big bed is comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with all the utensils that you require and the TV had the full bouquet of DSTV channels. Towels were big and fluffy and they provided an additional blanket. I would suggest extra linen in the unit for the sleeper couch. Private access to the beach from valley of the pools (although they advise you not to swim there) its still lovely for a walk and a toe dip. The resort really is quite special with soooo much to do for kids and the whole family.

The unit has become a bit run down over the years. It may be due to the recent floods in KZN - but the front door was damaged at the bottom. The sleeper couch leg was broken. Not great sleeping on a 3-legged bed. The kettle didn't work, the orange sofa in the TV room needs a good clean. The shower had mould and any steel surfaces had so much rust. There was no WIFI. Not ideal when travelling with kids. Had to hotspot my mom and child. This unit used to be so special and I think with a little care, it can be quite special again. If you can look past the above mentioned issues and just enjoy the comfy bed and resort, you will be just fine.

Everything met our expectations.

The location was nice and quiet

I would have loved to have swops or paper towels for when we eat or wipe the table.
