Relaxful Hotel泊岸酒店

Great central location and the room was pretty sheltered from road noise. Everything was walkable from this location. Drawback was that if any other hotel occupants were out on their balconies, even conversations at normal volume could be heard very clearly in the closed rooms.

The free shuttle to airport and downtown was a highlight!

The property had an airport shuttle and a shuttle to take you back and forth to town. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The staff weren’t overly friendly, some were great while others were not.

The rooms were large and clean. The staff was extremely helpful. The free shuttle from the airport and also into the Old Quarter of Luang Prabang made it convenient to stay in a quieter area of Luang Prabang. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We weren't aware that we could request additional items such as omlettes for breakfast until we saw other guests ordering them, it might be a good idea for the hotel to make guests aware of this facility. We loved the fact that there was a laundry for guests to use for themselves. The free shuttle service was much appreciated. The staff at the hotel could also make guests aware of the fact that every morning around 6am the monks from the nearby temple collect alms/rice etc locally at the entrance to the hotel car park and that it is not necessary for guests to go into town to witness this ceremony.

There was a minor problems with the drains and it was necessary to put the plugs in the sinks in the rooms to stop bad odours in the rooms.

The hotel is new and located a little bit outside the night market area, but for us, it was absolutely no problem as they provided a free shuttle to anywhere in town. The room was fresh, and the beds were comfortable. The pool area was nice and the sunsets by the river were really beautiful. The staff was friendly. There's also an excellent restaurant right next door.

As it's a new hotel, it hasn't quite yet reached its full potential. There's a terrace area by the river where they could do so much more with it. Maybe add a few sun loungers or more comfortable chairs, as the area is perfect for watching the sunset, but now the area was just abandoned. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, would've hoped more options and variation.
