The location

We liked very much the location: we could walk to the historical center, and even to the Guggenheim Museum and pretty much to every place we wanted to visit. The optional parking (charged at a very reasonable fee) was also a big plus, even though it was in another building, a couple of blocks away. The nearby supermarket and laundromat became also very handy (the apartment has a laundry machine, but we used the laundromat for drying the clothes). The second bathroom was another big plus. We would definetly like to go back.

Communication was a mess and check-in was a terrible experience. We started receiving messages outside of Booking which is not our preferred option. We were told that another person would do the check-in. This second person then told us that a third person would be waiting for us. We run late due to massive traffic and difficulty to find the right way (restrictions of traffic apply in the Casco Viejo area), we kept the second person informed but somehow information was not flowing and at some point the third person was threatening to leave… Nevertheless, this was a lovely well located accommodation and we trust that the check-in issue was a one-off episode.

The location is quite near the heart of the old city. It's a little bit of an uphill walk but once we learned how to navigate some of the elevators, funiculas, and the metro nearby that helped. The apartment is located in a safe residential neighborhood with laundry and food markets nearby. It can get a little noisy but this was not too bad. The apartment was comfortable and well furnished.

Parking space was a bit tight. Driving through the narrow and crowded old city streets took some getting use to
