"Quiet relaxing stay with pleasant walks and good location for nearby attractions and towns."

Ashford in the water was a scenic village and the cottage had off road parking for a small car which was essential as the on road parking was usually occupied. It was a convenient location for Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Ashbourne and Buxton. The food in the Ashford Arms and village tea room was very good and staff were friendly and attentive.

"Lovely place but no wood to light the fire"

Lovely place, location, it was clean and homely.

There were no logs to light the fire and no matches in the pot labelled matches. We chose this house because we wanted a wood burner so that was disappointing. Also there wasn't enough toilet paper so we had to go and buy some.
