11 The Strand in the heart of Rye

The house layout was wonderful, very spacious and efficient. It was very homely. The facilities available were extremely accommodating and helpful to have. The layout of the bathrooms and the bedrooms were cool too. All in all a lovely stay. I would definitely recommend it in future to others.

The bath in the bedroom felt a bit uncomfortable to sit in. It also made a few noises which alarmed me at one point. The parking was a bit awkward, thankful to have a space nonetheless.

Great location, with parking. Good communication and how lovely to arrive and find the welcome pack of milk, bread and the basics and other goodies. A very nice touch. House just perfect, high standards of furnishings and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard in the evenings. We will come again. Thank you.

property excellent - obviously the owners were interior designers but they were not caterers: kitchen utilities sparse; perhaps they did not cook?

A comprehensive welcome pack was a bonus. Everything you would need for a first breakfast or snack on arrival including bacon and eggs! Stylish grey/silver and glass neutral decor with plenty ambient light and good double glazing and shutters on the street windows. An easy walk into the old town and restaurants. Excellent communication with our host before arrival. Clear and complete instructions for how the apartment works.

There is one parking space for each of four houses and manoeuvring can be a bit tricky if others are not well parked. The big bed in the smaller room gave a good sleep but minimal circulation space. These are only minor negative points.

We (family of 4, kids aged 12 & 15) absolutely loved this apartment! Super comfortable, well equipped, nice and fresh interior, 2 lovely bathrooms, practical and modern kitchen, everything impeccably clean - the pictures in the ad don't do it justice. A short walk away from anything you would want to see, eat, shop or do in beautiful Rye - which is actually quite lot. Highly recommended!

Two small things: 1) Coffee could only be made with one particular capsula from one particular brand, which was not in stock in the local supermarket. A simple French press would have worked out much better! 2) The traffic noice from the street outside the master bedroom is really loud, so if you need to sleep with open windows, this might not be the place for you. The windows were however almost completely sound proof, so it worked out quite fine for us.

Nice house in the heart of Rye. Very good double glazing so the road side location was not an issue. The house is nicely decorated with comfortable beds and all the mod cons. Breakfast and wine was provided which was much appreciated. Parking space in Rye was also a big bonus.

Nothing really we enjoyed our stay.
