Stylish Flat in 1860's Listed Building

The apartment was in a good location. Only about a 30 minute walk into old town and allows you to avoid the chaos of staying right in crowded areas. Near the train and trams and close to an Tesco and several restaurants. Very clean and comfortable.

A really lovely building, beautiful gardens, very peaceful and quiet considering it was in the middle of Edinburgh - the loudest noise was the blackbird singing on the chimney!

Could do with better bedroom curtains - the blinds didn't keep any light out. Pack an eye-mask for sleeping :)

Great location and easy to park and walk to Edinburgh Castle.

Everything was great

Too many steps

Communication with the hosts was excellent and the flat was very clean. It is not in the middle of anything, but is a reasonable walk to everything. Bathroom is small, but updated and had plenty of hot water for the 3 of us. Kitchen was well stocked. Bed was firm but comfortable.

We knew it was a walk up, but didn't realize it was 42 winding steps up (with our luggage). Pillows were all extremely flat - it would be nice if there were a few that were more fluffy as an alternative. Extra sleeping space using the sofa bed was not great. We made it work for 3 adults, but I would say this unit is ideally better suited for 2 people. There was no outdoor seating, although the photos showed a small bistro table.
