Stylish Flat in 1860's Listed Building

Very clean and well equipped, thought through to detail.

We liked all, communication with the owners shall be more effective though, we only got reply after 2 days, though we were facing some difficulties.

The apartment was spacious and exceptionally clean. Shower gel, shampoo and hand wash was provided as well as tea, coffee (Nespresso pods) and sugar. The heating was turned on before our check in so we walked into a warm and cozy apartment. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need, perfect for self catering. If you aren’t interested in cooking there are over 200 restaurants that deliver to the apartment or there is a Tesco Express just around the corner. The apartment is in the perfect location, it’s quite at night but is only a short walk to old or new town. The TV had Netflix already loaded on which meant there was no hassle of logging in to delay you from unwinding on the huge sofa. All in all a really amazing apartment.

The windows are hard to open and there is no fan which means the apartment can become somewhat stuffy. The apartment is advertised as having a balcony however the balcony is not private. It is actually the entrance to the apartment as well as three others. The advertising is misleading.

No lift hence those with heavy luggages may struggle to get to the floor. Shower water pressure is on the low side.

Location was great, very central. Flat was clean and comfortable. Very good instructions for finding the car park, and getting the key and the parking permit.

No heating or hot water. There was a fault with the boiler. Luckily the weather was not cold, but we had to wash at the sink, no hot water for showering. Also, we had to climb a lot of stairs to get to the flat. There is a single step near the front door which I forgot about, coming out on the first morning. I stumbled off it, nearly fell. I tried emailing and texting the owners about the boiler, but couldn't reach them. Even if I had, it's unlikely that the boiler could have been fixed before we left, as we were only there for 2 nights.

The apartment is in a good location and it has everything you need to feel like at home

The location is convenient

There was scaffolding up along the length of the building creating a lack of parking space.. on one occasion we had to pay £22 to park elsewhere. There was a discarded mattress and broken mirror extra at the side of the building and not all the neighbours look after their property
