The building is lovely, has charm and character, and was clean

The bed in the main bedroom is squeaky, so I woke a few times when I turned over in my sleep

It was everything we needed, lovely and snug, loved that there was two bathrooms and lots of storage.

Nothing not to like, only comment is, small hob with two rings for cooking, which we found limiting as we love to cook. However it is perfectly suitable for simple meals.

The property was clean and cared for.

Lack of information for the cottage / area, eg password for the WiFi, emergency numbers, places to eat etc. we don't all have full connectivity.

The location was good. The owner lived next door and was very friendly. A good layout and size. A very quiet neighbourhood, no traffic noise.

The managing agents. When we arrived the cleaner was still there. He didn't know we were coming and we had to wait in the car for about 20 mins until he finished. There was a bad smell in the place which lasted about a day. I have a poor sense of smell and it was bad to me. Maybe something the cleaner was using. The crockery and cutlery was not very clean and we needed to wash it before using. The washing machine has probably never been cleaned. When we did our washing it came out covered in muck and was disgusting. We had to spend most of the afternoon at a laundromat when we should have been sightseeing. We were told we would receive a refund of 25 pound as compensation. We never received anything. New managing agents could make a huge difference to this house.

Great location really looked beautiful. Lots of space inside and the cottage presented really well

Smoke alarm was not wired in it was dangling from the ceiling. The double bed was very uncomfortable although the single was fine. The metal frame in the double room was very noisy. I think really the bed should be changed. The sofa in the lounge was very low so I struggled as I have back issues. A higher easy chair as an option would be great to have in there. The kitchen wasn’t really set up for any type of cooking. Even breakfast was difficult. Windows were not easy to open. Most were screwed shut. The blinds and frames were very dusty. When I opened the back kitchen door I was opening onto next doors garden which wasn’t ideal for us or them. It was such a shame because the cottage was presented very well and the bathrooms especially the black and white shower room was superb. Brilliant shower
