It is convenient from the Newark airport and downtown. It’s a quiet environment and I was able to sleep well, mostly. The 1 1/2 shared bathrooms seemed sufficient for my stay. If the rooms are fully occupied, I can imagine there might be some waiting.

The heat seemed to be set way too high and the dry forced air worsened a cough that I already had. The staff that I happened to speak with at the property showed me how to lower the thermostat or even turn off the heat, if needed, but it seems like it could just be set at some lower temp that still keeps the space comfortable (this also saves a lot on energy costs). I noticed two missing smoke detectors- one in my room and one right outside in the long hallway. This seems unsafe and probably breaks some fire codes for a B&B / hotel (see in photos). My ground floor room window had multiple cracks and duct tape stains from where some cover had been attached, presumably. The cabinets in the kitchen / bathrooms appeared to be falling apart / not installed properly. Some kind of coffee maker would be good to have in the kitchen.
