Leven's Rest

The accommodation was easy to reach being just off the main road running across the Southern Lakes. It was only a short drive to shops, pubs and restaurants and we drove to the main lakes and tourists attractions in around half an hour or less so it is a great base for spending holiday time in the Lakes. The accommodation was homely and comfortable and our family enjoyed our stay.

It took us a while to find the power switch for the shower which was on the landing behind the bathroom door. We couldn't work out how to use the boiling water tap so boiled water in a pan but we are maybe just not up to date with modern technology.

It's a really lovely place, very clean which is massive bonus, had everything we needed especially in the kitchen. Good communication with the owner. I would definitely recommend this place to others and stay there again.

Lovely Decor and homely feel, good utilisation of space especially for just two people. Really nice that there is a parking space and good facilities inside!

Felt that there could have been a sofa instead of 2 chairs in the lounge and potentially a local guide/ key info but other than this was a lovely stay!

The cottage exceeded all our expectations – it was newly renovated, incredibly cozy, tidy, and spotlessly clean. Everything was perfectly prepared, with thoughtful touches down to the tiniest details. The kitchen was a real pleasure to use, fully equipped with everything you could need – microwave, air fryer, toaster.....and all the necessary utensils. The beds were super comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The location was wonderful and peaceful, with attractions, shops, cafes, and restaurants just a short drive away. The host was exceptionally kind, attentive, and easy reachable. This was one of the best holiday experiences we've ever had.

Really clean cottage, good standard of furnishings, and everything needed in kitchen, added bonus of parking space.

Would have been good if garden was enclosed, but realise not everyone has a dog.

Cosy, very clean, quiet location but close to Ulverston and Bowness. Ideal for those with or without dogs.
