"A beautiful cottage to stay in, with everything you need. The views are gorgeous,it was a ve"

8.0

The cottage is up a hill which took my breath away, my husband held onto me,had to stop, then carry on again. The bed was comfy and the pillows,we took the pillows from the other bedroom as we like a few pillows.the cottage is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is very narrow but had everything you needed. The Two two seater sofas were a bit low down but a cushion sorted that out,a good sized dining table and a TV. The bathroom was roomy. Also a downstairs toilet which came in handy. The views from the bathroom window were beautiful, the back garden plants were lovely to look at,and lady nextdoor flowers in her little front garden were beautiful. We had a problem with the TV, I messaged the host who was very helpful.

The shower cubicle could do with a shelf in for toiletries, not good having to bend down for shower gel etc. the shower over the bath was good, but no shower curtain around the bath. I had to wash the towels again as they didn't smell very nice, not sure what detergent they used. The garden is on a slope! No handrails the steps had slate on them which felt slippery, the garden table was at the top of the slope to the left of the neighbours gardens and the chairs were in a shed full of cobwebs and spiders,we didn't use them, not sure how we would take a hot/cold drink up there to enjoy the views. The lady next door was lovely, and there was a lovely but mischievous dog called jake who came and said hello, his owner was a lovely lady too. The key box would be better placed near the back door. Also taxi dropped us off at paradise mews, when I said this wasn't the right place, took us further up to the right place, maybe there should be better signage on the wall.

The large dog next door , straight in the house if we opened the bag door to enjoy the beautiful garden, my grandson stopped going out in the garden such a shame .

Nothing

Dirty floors and windows, holes in bedroom walls, smelled damp, no parking whatsoever, key was impossible to find (annoyed old lady next door had to show us the filthy spider infested shed the key box is in), totally inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues (very steep stairs). Tiny, dirty kitchen. Not at all as advertised.

"Comfortable and cosy cottage in wonderful location"

9.0

Excellent location, quiet but near harbour, beaches and castle. Warm, cosy and comfortable cottage. Generous provision of wood and kindling for the log burner. Lovely garden and outside space (if only the weather had allowed us to use it!)

"Excellent stay. Definitely recommend and will come again"

9.0

When we first stepped into the cottage, I fell in love with it straight away. I loved all the décor, everything matched well and it was just really cute and cosy. I imagine it would be really nice in winter as well. I felt safe and felt relaxed. The bathroom was massive and really spacious and everything was clean. The beds were comfortable enough and the rooms were well presented.. It was spacious and plenty of facilities and resources to cook with in the kitchen if needed. There was also a washing machine. The garden was lovely to sit out in both on a morning and a night. It was super close to the beach which was ideal for us even if the walk up the hill did nearly kill us off so be mindful of that if you have mobility issues. We also found a little obstacle course around the corner from where we were staying which the kids enjoyed. The opposite neighbour was really nice and friendly. Towels and toilet rolls were provided. A few people said the key was hard to find. I found it well but took a few goes to figure out how to open it to get the key out but I did it eventually. When I messaged for support or had any questions, they were really quick to get back to me. I will definitely book to stay here again
