Amerivu Inn & Suites - Helen - Downtown

The property is located conveniently in the center of Helen. It was within walking distance to the Festhalle and many other attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The property could use a little attention to repairs, but it was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was muffins only, no waffle batter or cereals. Location was awesome.

Our door DID NOT LOCK and was told we have no other rooms, we slid the chair in front of the door when we tried to sleep.

Location was great and an easy walk to all the best shops and restaurants!

I’m didn’t dislike anything. I might mention to update a few things but nothing specific. It was a nice little place!

Being transferred to another room, which was clean and livable. Location.

The sheets on both beds had stains on them. The mirrors were dusty. The tub was dirty with soapscumb, as well as the faucet. Tub had rust spots. The showerhead was not attached to the wall, even though water did come out of it. The tub drain had mildew and dirty. The hairdryer had mildew also. After several discussions regarding these issues with management, we were provided to a new room..

Close distance to festival.

The non-smoking room was so heavily filled with smoke that it was difficult to breath. We were told there was no other rooms available. After insisting, they finally gave us a can of aerosol. It did not work. We bought a candle. It did not work. We bought a second candle. It did not work. When we got home, our CPAP machine still has a smoke smell four days later. Despite cleaning the lines and changing filters, it still has smoke in it. We have developed respiratory illness. The place was unclean. I am uncertain if they ever vacuum the carpeting. I found papers near the bed for different guests. They did not bring us fresh towels for 3 days. I specifically asked for service. They still did not come. I finally had to become very insistent. They brought towels and changed sheets, but did not vacuum, we deliberately left things on the floor. They also did not clean the bathroom. I deliberately left hair on the shower wall; it was still there. I feel that our illness is due to the dirtiness of the hotel. The place had bad reviews, so I called to speak to the manager to discuss my hesitation prior to booking. She assured me that she was the new manager and working hard to change the image of the place. Based on our conversation, I decided to give it a try. Big mistake. She does not enforce very basic hygiene such as sweeping the carpet and cleaning the bathroom.

Location was great and beds were comfortable. Staff were super friendly and nice.
