Outdated/dirty room

The location was perfect and the staff was nice.

There is basically no breakfast. They had some muffins but they were expired. They didn't make our room and we had to wait until seven for the check-in because housekeeping forgot to do the rooms. The room is ok though...

Dirty. People live here. Cigarettes all over parking lot. Staff sent a 10 year old girl to tell my kids to quiet down at 7pm when they were just watching videos on their phone laughing like normal.

The running water in the shower and sink. The toilet and the microwave. The closeness to town.

To whomever is in charge of booking. You can improve by not overbooking rooms. I reserved one king and one double queen and received two double queens so my husband and I weren't very comfortable during our stay. Both rooms smelled very old and one had a smoky odor. The rooms could use better bedding. The brown cover is slick and kept falling off the bed. A blanket should be provided on each bed along with the sheets provided. Some outlets didn't work so the room was darker. The shower wall was screwed in which looked like a quick repair. The toilet paper holder and the shower faucet were loosened from the walls.  No hair dryer was provided. Carpets need cleaning or replacing. We paid $1870 for a run down motel that wasn't worth $50 a night.  We will never use this motel again nor booking.com if we cannot be guaranteed the type of rooms showing available. The only upside to our stay is that we had a bed to sleep in and a shower and sink with running water and a microwave. No cups for coffee were provided.  Also, when I called the hotel to confirm the rooms requested we were told they were ready for us and what we ordered and when I asked about breakfast, I was told they had Continental with waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage bacon and eggs. Only food available was coffee, packaged grits, oatmeal, muffins, yogurt. Waffle machine was not working and no batter available.  We were glad for the breakfast but not satisfied. We liked the closeness to town all within walking distance but we will never stay here again. Also the man next to us kept having to slam his door closed so the doors need work too as well as new card reader cards. We had to keep going to the desk clerk to have it reset.  We spent too much money on this dirty place and we hope it will be shut down for improvements or completely redone.  It's not fair to hard working people to be scammed with paying a fortune on a rundown hotel that was advertised as a lovely place to stay.
