Amerivu Inn & Suites - Helen - Downtown

My wife's mom needs a wheelchair and I had requested downstairs units. They gave us upstairs units and they don't have a ramp or elevator. So I 66 and my wife 65 had to drag her mom 89 up and down the stairs.

Location is good, accessible to town

Waffle maker is not working, not much options for breakfast, rooms are dated - needs some update … I guess this hotel being on the inexpensive category” I should not expect too much …

Did not eat it. Very limited.

Cleanliness. Room had a horrible odor. Looked like mold on the bathtub. And there was literally a cracked door frame that you could see to the outside

The staff was very helpful.

The facilities were run down and needed upgrading.

Que fuese muy oscuro el hotel por fuera

Walkable to/from the Oktoberfest attractions, shops, and restaurants. We were able to have a lovely evening and get back safely without breaking a sweat. FYI, maps show this location is fairly central in downtown Helen but in fact, East of this hotel is just more hotels, Dollar store, and package store. Other niceties were the bed mattress and headboard, and other furniture, which seemed relatively new / updated, and the lamps / light fixtures. Cosmetically it appeared that management has made a real effort to "class up" the place within reasonable expectations.

Bathtub shower floor slip mat was really dirty. Not sure if it needs to be bleached, or just replaced, but it was covered in black stains. My partner was so grossed out that she insisted on wearing her flip flops in the shower to avoid standing barefoot inside the tub. Also, the shower curtain was extremely short and kept blowing out of the tub from the steam. A longer curtain would have improved the overall experience.
