Carvetii - Kings House - 20mins to Edinburgh

Peaceful and Quiet. We had a comfortable stay. Easy to get to Pittencrief Park n house, Dunfermline Abbey, etc. We parked right outside the house, which was really good.

Some minor damages within the property, but that was not a bother.

The King's house is a very budget friendly, quaint, and friendly apartment. The distance from Edinburgh couldn't be beat for the price and provided a great home base for our adventures around Scotland. The town was cute enough and even though we were pretty much on top of the train tracks, we didn't hear it once. The living area has plenty of space to relax. The kitchen was great and the washing machine was very helpful. No dryer, just a drying rack. Beds in the two twins were comfortable, the queen bed was also reported to be very comfortable

The bathroom has mold and it's VERY apparent. Beyond the smell of dampness, the hastily caulked seams around the tub, the bubbling floor, there's visible mold on the ceiling, floor, and near the sink. We did not reach out to the host regarding this during our stay as we weren't staying for long than a few days. The windows need to be cleaned out in and around the latches. They were difficult to open and close due to years of dirt and grime building up in the tracks that slide up and down to change from "falling in" and "opening wide".

Great location and served it's purpose . Comfortable living room.

Greeted at front door with disgusting carpet. Mold and damp throughout apartment and even around windows which could easily be cleaned off. Very draughty windows and no cold tap working in sink in bathroom. If there was proper upkeep on this apartment it could be excellent!

The carpets where dirty the kitchen facilities where very poor and very very void after the heating came off
