The apartment was in an ideal location with great access to the train line links that could take you all over Scotland. Excellent value for our long weekend. Convenient shops in walking distance. Pathway walk all the way to North Queesferry where you can see the 3 bridges and have a lovely cuppa in the cafe or a delicious meal in The Wee Restaurant.

A little TLC required, mattresses were okay but a topper would make the beds a little more comfortable and sticking radiator valves made the rooms very hot

Bedrooms were nicely done. Property was in a great location with free parking nearby.

Prior to arrival we had to sign additional terms and agree to a damage deposit after payment in full. This wasn't on the listing and there was no inventory to cross check against the items in the property and any pre-existing damage, of which there was some. If a host takes a damage deposit an inventory is required. otherwise it causes concern that you may get charged for a missing item or damage that wasn't your fault. Unnecessary stress for what is meant to be a break. As others have said the property is very tired, another sofa or comfy seat for the living room would be appreciated. It also has very steep stairs to access it so not ideal for less able or people with very young children (again, this is not clear). Overall it was OK.
